Gatekeeper have a casting list of several hundred actors (included our extras). The more familiar of these are:

Denise Crosby
Mrs. Crosby is best known within the Sci-Fi community as "Tasha Yar" from "Star Trek: The Next generation", but has a long list of brilliant performances behind her. For those of you wondering about her last name she is indeed the great Bing Crosby's granddaughter. She has always been a favourite in the Star Trek community for her warmth and down to Earth personality!

She will be giving her voice to the "Station Computer", but also a very exciting surplice character to be presented at the end of the movie

Star Wars Actors
As part of our upcoming campaigns we will not reveal our Star Wars actors until later in the production, but it's safe to say they are well known to all fans of Lucas Film's masterpiece Star Wars. The reason for this is that all contracts are tentative and that these actors will appear later in the movie, which means the situation, may change. Should anyone drop out during production we will however bring in a replacement. So don't panic!

Mark Allen Shepherd
Mr. Shepherd's character "Morn" got to be tremendous popular among the "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" hardcore fans, and had the reputation of being the most talkative character of the show without uttering a single word. He is no stranger to the Norwegian Trekkie community as he opened the very first Norwegian Star Trek conventions, together with Richard Arnold and Roger Nygard.
In Gatekeeper Mr. Shepherd will portray Del-Mon - the head of the new Jedi Council

Stephen B. Rappaport
Rappaport portrayed one of the two Vidiians who stole Neelix lungs in the episode "Phage". The extraordinary multi talent is also known from a number of other productions like "ER" and "NYPD Blue". Most likely you will get to see one of his critically acclaimed solo stage acts in the time to come and you do NOT want to miss this. The details around Rappaport involvement are still on the table.

Richard Arnold
Given that participating in fan productions are not his cup of tea, we are off course thrilled that our dear friend Richard Arnold has decided to support our production with a cameo. He was Gene Roddenberry's adviser for 16 years and invented the term PADD (Personal Access Display device), as well as Data's limerick "There was a young lady from Venus…". He also worked for the Star Trek magazine "Communicator" and is seen in the first and latest Star Trek movie.

Mr. Arnold will do the part of Starfleet Admiral Manning

Roger Nygard
Nygard is the producer/Director that gave us the wonderful "Trekkies" documentaries. He has also produced and/or worked on films and TV shows like "Back to Back", "Suckers", The Search for John Gissing", Man About Town", "Hight Strung", "The Mind of the Married Man", "The Office", The Bernie Mack Show", Curb Your Enthusiasm", The Loop", "Six Days in Roswell" - and now the amazing documentary "The Nature of Existence".

Nygard will do the part of Commander Higgins!

Leslie Hoffman
Hoffman is one the most talented and experienced stunt women there is, and is best known in our community as B'Elanna Torres stand in and stunt woman from "Star Trek: Voyager and Deep Space Nine". As Mrs. Crosby she has a mind blowing career including some of the biggest film and TV shows in history.

She will be doing several stunt works in the movie as well as advise our stunt coordinator Martin Zetterlund about the stunts in general. She will also do the part of the Vulcan High Command Administrator and Spock's great-great-great granddaughter L'karu.

Izaak Smith
Heart breaker Izaak Smidt was one of the dancers on "So You Think You Can Dance - Canada" and ended up being the third best male dancer - which was a huge accomplishment given the level that year. Not surprisingly he was also the favourite among the girls.

In addition to dancing Smidt also has an unusual and very exciting hobby keeping the old Knighthood tradition alive through competitions. The combination of learning advanced coordination quickly and being experienced with weapons makes him perfect for his character as the famous Zulu warrior Shaka.

Henrik Fexeus
For those of you that have seen the TV show "Lie to me" - Henrik Fexeus is the real McCoy! He is the author of two bestselling books on non-verbal communication and influence "The Art of Reading Minds", and "When You Do What I Want You To – a book on influence". In 2007 and 2009 Fexeus wrote and hosted the TV series "Mind Storm" for Swedish Television.

Fexeus will be doing the part of a Betazed advisor.

Simon J. Berger
Simon J. Berger has joined the Gatekeeper cast. Berger is among the latest stars within the Scandinavian film industry and has been hugely successful with productions like "Up till Kamp" (English title: "How Soon is Now"), "Istället för Abrakadabra" (English title: "Instead of Abracadabra") and "Ingen Kom Ner" (English title: "No Come Down").

Berger will also help instruct our actors to bring out their best performance possible, and we are very happy to have him aboard

Christer Fuglesang
Following in the footsteps of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" we have invited a real life space explorer to join the production. ESA astronaut Christer Fuglesang is the first Scandinavian astronaut to visit the International Space Station with the Discovery in 2006, and again in 2009.

Fuglesang will be portraying a holographic educational program of himself - teaching the cadets at Starfleet Academy about old space exploration history and the space ferry's propulsion system.

…and there are several more on their way!

Our fan based actors are:

Bobby Rice
Rice is by many considered the leading man of Star Trek related fan productions. His experience within three of the best know shows; "Hidden Frontier", "Odyssey" and "Phase II" as well as a number of independent films, his great talent and dashing good looks, and the fact that he's a pleasure to work with makes him a very welcome part of our production.

Rice will do the part of Anakin Skywalker and Darth Vader (without helmet).

JT Tepnapa
Tepnapa is well known within the Trek community from "Hidden Frontier", "Odyssey" and "Phase II", as well as other independent films. Together with Bobby Rice he portrayed a gay couple, which by many has been viewed as kick in the direction of Paramount who has been strangely reluctant to include gay characters in Star Trek.

Tepnapa will do the part of fighter pilot Lt. Johnson

Adam Browne
rowne is also among the best known Trek fan actors, first and most from "Hidden Frontier" and "Odyssey", as well as other independent films. Brown recently married his co-actor JT Tepnapa, and we gratulate them both, and welcome him aboard the Gatekeper production.

Browne will be doing the part of Lt. Davies

Barbara Adams
Our dear friend Adams is best known from the documentaries "Trekkies 1 & 2" and from the Clinton Whitewater trial. She's sharp as a nail, a Star Trek lexicon on legs, and as close to Starfleet one can possible get. She first visited Norway during the very first Trek Convention in Stavanger in 2006.

Adams will do the part of UFP President Sedak.

Samuli Torssonen & Timo Vuorensola
Torssonen and Vuorensola are two of the central names from the biggest Nordic fan film produced today: "Star Wreck". The film was downloaded more than 4 million times which most likely makes it the most popular film production ever produced in Finland.

They are currently producing the independent film "Iron Sky", which has impressed an entire fan community with its brilliant trailer. We look very much forward to seeing the finished result.

Torssonen and Vuorensola will do the part of two terrorist leaders during the utmost dramatic first sequence of the movie.

Nick Cook
Cook is known from Star Trek: Intrepid where he portrays Captain Daniel Hunter. A solid piece of work with quite a few talented actors in the cast.
Cook has also written the scripts as well as produced the show. We are very happy to have him aboard.

Cook will portray Captain McFarland

Robin Hiert
Hiert is one of the latest additions to the fan community with the Dutch fan series "Dark Armada" where he portrays Captain Alexander Richardson.
Hiert will also bring in co-actor Iris Janse for a smaller part in the movie.

Hiert will do the part of fighter pilot Lt. Garcia.

501st garrison
While 501st Garrison was founded to simply provide a collective identity for costuming Star Wars fans with similar interests, they also spend their time and resources doing fundraising, charity work, and volunteerism.

Garrison will do most of the Star Wars parts!

Jesper Isberg
Isberg is clearly the best known Sci-Fi personality in Sweden. He's the creator of one of the biggest Sci-Fi, game and film Conventions in Europe. How he manages to put 2-4 of them together each year is beyond us. Each of them more exciting than the next.

Jesper will be doing the part of "Emergency Team Personnel" and suffer a death worthy the most unfortunate of red shirts!

…and more on their way!

Irene Brustad
Brustad will do the part of Elisabeth Janeway - 16 generations after Voyager's Kathryn Janeway!

Janeway will be leading a team of genetically engineered species to run the Gatekeeper space station. Brustad was the first leader of Trekkers Norway, which soon became one of the biggest Trek organizations in Scandinavia. She is part of the 4Fathers.

Thomas Dahl
Dahl will do the part of Vulcan/Okampa Tomak. Tomak is Janeway's number one and chief of security. As part of the 4Fathers Dahl is also responsible for directing the movie, and writing the script, as well as creating many of the concepts and mattes for the movie.

Martin Eskdale Moen
Moen will do the part of Vulcan/Klingon Marak and responsible for weaponry. Marak keeps his anger under control with chemicals, something he hides for his colleagues. Moen is also our web programmer and part of the 4Fathers.

Anton Sundèn
Sundèn will do the part of Garry Taren. Half Kriosian and Orion Taren hides his Orion background with artificial human skin colour as Orions are still looked at as not trustworthy! Taren is responsible for infiltration and profiling.

Kenneth Lund
Lund will do the part of Ferman Komiri. Half Zakdorn and half 116 he's a tactical genius but also very arrogant and impatient with everyone around him except his friend Tomak. He also has a severe drinking problem.

Carolina Gòmez Lagerlöf
Lagerlöf will do the part of Sevet who's believed to be a Vulcan isomorphic projection - but is she?

She has the ability to move through solid objects and live like any other Vulcan, but something is off. Sevet is responsible for the Special Forces.

Nicole Powell
Powell will do the part of Camilia - half Changeling and half Cameloid. Camilia is responsible for espionage and has a little secret of her own, which she shears with the United Federation of Planets President herself!

Irene Mathisen
Mathisen will do the part of Krenim /El-Aurian Lauran. Lauran is responsible for all time and dimensional travel within the Federation and the UFP, which in these days are utmost restricted.

We have about 400 actors so far so it'll take a while to present them all on our web page, but we'll start posting a few more soon. Some will have their real names and character names presented only as we do not have that much information about them, but there will always be a photo.

Captain Jean Luc Picard x 2

Giles Aston joins the Gatekeeper team as the adult Jean Luc Picard, while the British actor Tomos Frater do the part of young Jean Luc.

Nice. And I see young Picard has hair. :)

Thomas

As he did at Starfleet Academy (from the episode when Q took him back in time).

Rachel Krystad

True. I was just thinking of the Academy picture of him without hair in Nemesis. Though that picture was propably a glitch. :p

Thomas

Our young Picard is quite young, so we feel it's natural that he had his hair in this period - even though some has not. We also wanted some contrast between the young and adult Picard.

Didn't he shave it off when he lost a bet at one time? Something something? :P

This is before Starfleet academy! At least physically! Time is relative in the Nexus! Your mind is the same, but your body and the time period you wish to live is your own choise. Most people chose a younger body!

We'll continue presenting our actors shortly. In the meanwhile - please consider the following:

1. Any actors you feel is wrong for the part?
2. Any actors you would like to see in Gatekeeper?
3. Help us gather lookalikes to all parts known from Star Trek and Star Wars (nationally or internationally).

As a comment to the actors we have chosen so far: While some of these feel good for the part they have been given the voice may not be perfect. In these cases we'll manipulate the voices in our sound studio. All Klingons, Darth Vader and Spock are already booked for a manipulation. We will also dub the lines in studio with the original when something turns out to be wrong after a shot, and for a few characters (amateur actors) there will be another actor dubbing.

There are still a lot of actors standing in line for a part and we are still debating what part to give to each and every one of them, so stay tuned. We have NOT forgotten you!

Another Lookalike joins the cast

As you know time is relative in the Nexus and so we've brought back quite a few characters from both Star Trek and Star Wars though younger lookalikes. The latest addition to our cast is Chakotay from Voyager, played by Jon A. Skoglund.

You've got my picture by mail, so decide if I'm a lookalike or not (I'm not a lookalike as far as I know...).

As for actors/actresses, I would love Robin Curtis (Saavik, Star Trek 3 and Tallera, Star Trek TNG) to be a part of this :) Don't know of any community actors yet, but I'll look for them :P

Curtin is one of the actor's from Star Trek I haven't met and do not know, but I'll add her to our list for our 4Father debate. Do notice that we have several actors we have not published jet! ;) How many we bring in depend on the big PayPal campaign we are about to start.

The PayPal campaign is for small amounts? Is it still posible to donate larger sums and become a sponsor? (I'm talking 5000 NOK ->)

Well I meet a few people from the musical world that are really talented actors/actress lately so it would be fun to pick one or two from that sector if we could and if you need an actress with an asian look Lisette Pagler is very talented. Other than that I am a newborn fan off Niklas Andersson. Ive been a long time fan off Patric Stuwart but I guess he is way out off our league. J.

Mark: The PayPal campaign will generate a lot of money as there are quite a few SciFi fans out there. If a tyny percent donate ten dollars its quite a bit! BUT we also do ordinarry campaigns, and everyone donating sums between 5 - 10 000 have many advantages as you will see on the Gatekeeper page on Facebook. So we give bak as much as we get! ;)

Supreme: We have no problems getting actors, but has decided to pull back a bit until the first part is produced. :) We have quite a few celebs allready, but will pull in many more.
