(Setting: Scene start just outside "Ares Village" on the now terra formed planet Mars).

Black

Text:
"Ares Village, Mars - 2889"

Sound of a fly buzzing

Fade in - Open to camera behind fly in mid air.

Fly landing on a twig with big stone in the background - out of focus. Focus shifts to stone which opens eyes and slowly start opening its mouth. The fly leaves.

It climes in height and when the audience finally relaxes - the stone creature jumps for the fly - but it escapes.

Camera follows the fly toward a futuristic house at a Mars village, and camera shifts to the wall of the house. Soon after the fly arrives and walks around for a few seconds. Camera fades to a low window frame.

(Setting: Little girl's 2nd floor bedroom. Outside window and inside room)

The fly arrives and walks around. It closes in on a small technical devise to the far left of the frame and the upper part of the device turns very slowly toward the fly before a small phaser beam is activated and hits the fly, which gives away a tiny squeak and lies still - smoke rising from its dead body.

A hand with a pair of tweezers enters the frame and catches the fly by its legs.

Girl:
Gotcha!

The camera zooms out a bit to show a plant and the girl holding the fly a few centimeters over the single flower on the plant.

Girl:
Wakey! Wakey! Breakfast is ready!

The flower slowly opens and a mouth full of teeth is slowly coming out of the flower. Seen from above it suddenly grabs the fly - and bites off half the tweezers.

Girl :
Aaaaaaahhh! That's the second pair this week……That's it! You're
history!

She lifts the pot with her left hand and pulls the plant up by its roots with the right, as a large shadow rises. She looks up - chin dropping.

A giant and evil looking version of the same plant sneers at her - leaning in over the window frame.

She puts the plant back in the pot and pets it carefully with three small movements of her hand.

Girl:
Nice little planty!

Then starts backing away. From the upper frame of the picture, thick slime is dripping down and the plants head enters the picture moving slowly toward her.

Several mouths of different sizes come out towards her very slowly (ref. to Aliens) - drooling heavily on the floor, and she pulls back one step at a time.

The last mouth force her up against the wall…before her eyes suddenly catches two small holo-emitters in each upper corner of the window frame.

Girl:
Computer, end program!

The plant shrinks to a small boy hanging over the lower window frame.

Boy:
Hi, sis!

The girl looks very angry!

Boy:
Ma says bring your PADD, we're late for school!

He lets go of the frame just in time to duck the smaller plant (with pot) zooming over his head, and into the wall behind him.

Seen from the outside he runs down the stairs, which follows the round stone building carved into the mountain from the second level and all the way to the entrance on the other side of the house. The girl leans out of the window and shouts at him.

Girl:
I hate you, you little troll!

She turns - her arms crossed and anger in her face. Then turn her face to the left and spot the PADD on a table by the window. She grabs it, and exit through the open door, and it closes behind her.

(Setting: 1st floor living room)

Downstairs the boy enters through the front door and places himself on the transporter pad. His sister is running down the stairs, and as she reaches the transporter pad her mother (a Bajoran) stands up after picking up a sweater from the floor (in the left of the frame).

Mother:
(To her husband) Would it kill you to help out a bit?

The father (a Klingon) is having his coffee by a table and is tapping on one of his PADDs. (the chair and table lacks feet as they're anti gravity).

Father:
(Mumbles) My boss will if I don't finish this in about four minutes.

The mother shakes her head and turns toward her daughter:

Mother:
Why aren't you wearing your school uniform?

Girl:
Field trip, remember?

Mother:
Riiiiiight! UFP headquarters…is it Friday already?

Girl:
It'll be Saturday unless we leave soon! Computer…

Mother:
Oh, wait!

She turns around and reaches for the boy's PADD on the table where her husband is eating. He hands it to her without even looking her way - busy reading his own PADD.

Boy:
I saw a Druggel today, dad!

Girl:
Did not!

The mother has her back turned; tapping in the transporter coordinates on a display in the wall. Only the sound of the kids is heard.

Boy:
Did too!

The Girl smacks her brother in the back of his head

Boy:
MUM!

Father:
Will you two stop acting like children!

Boy:
(Mumbling) We ARE children!

The mother is snickering!

Girl:
Speak for yourself!

The boy is making faces at her sister with his tongue out.

Mother:
Enough! Here! Don't want to leave your tongue behind, will we?

She gives the boy his PADD, returns to the wall panel. He turns toward his sister.
(Seen from behind)

Boy:
Can that really happen?

The girl flicker her eyes.

Girl:
Idiot!

Mother:
And your badge, John!

Boy:
Oh!

He taps his badge and it “Chips”.

His mother shakes her head and turns toward the display on the wall where the family’s life signs are visible with curves showing all heart beats, and the boy's life signs appear.

Girl:
I'm gone miss the transport!

Mother:
Ok! Ok! Computer! Starfleet Elementary! Transport!

She blows them a kiss.

The two instantly dissolve in a large number of small balls falling to the ground and disappearing just above the surface in small sparks. A few balls bounce up again half a meter and disappear the next time they fall.

The mother is still holder the sweater she picked up from the floor and folds it by pinching it to her chest while she passes her husband.

Mother:
You're gone be late, Jerry!

Father:
I'm almost there!

She stops by the replicator, put the sweater on a nearby shelf, and gives it a command.

Mother:
Computer...Feline Supplement 14!

The replicator produces a bowl with cat food. She then grabs the bowl and hurries out the front door, where the cat is waiting for his breakfast.

(Setting: Right outside the entrance of the house)

Mother:
(To the cat) Hi Sweetie! Where have you been the last few days? Huh? Are you
hungry?

She places the bowl on the ground!

Mother:
No?

The cat hisses at her and pulls back into the bushes, hidden in the shadows only the eyes are visible.

Mother:
What is it, Sweetie?

A flickering of blue light is slowly filling the surroundings. Camera zooming out as the woman turns and spot what is hovering over the planet (not shown by the camera). She's backing toward the entrance while the camera keeps zooming out - one shot at a time.

Mother:
(Shouting her husband's name) D'Oral…D'ORALL!!!!

(Setting: Above the house, above the village, above the continent, and above the planet)

Camera continues to zoom out to an overview of the neighborhood, the country, the planet, and finally a distance from the planet where one can see the Nexus over the planet - and fade out!

Fade in

(Setting: Sickbay, Gatekeeper station)

Close up of a glass cage on a table in sickbay, with Captain Janeway bending down, fascinated and looking through the glass from the other side. On the inside small creatures have gathered by a small artificial pond to the left - drinking from the water.

Janeway:
What are they?!

Doctor Brady is standing with his back to her on the other side of the room - taking notes on a PADD while observing the same type of creatures in a much larger cage inside the wall.

The Doctor:
(Sighing) Look! Much as I love to chat, I do have...(turns around) a lot of
work…Captain Janeway! I’m dreadfully sorry! I thought…

Janeway:
That’s quite all right, Doctor. (smiling without looking up) What exactly are
you working on?

The Doctor:
(flustered) Oh…eh..well…

Quietly reaching over to one of the counters with a “hope she didn’t notice” expression on his face, grabbing a coffee mug, his palm covering to hide the cup, and throwing it quietly into the bin next to the counter.

The Doctor:
They're called Dates. They were discovered in the caves of Davenport
Mountains during the building of the UFP Headquarters by construction
worker Margaret Date. Obviously imported as all wildlife on Mars, but from
where we don't know. We believed them to be a primitive form of
Arachnids at first, but it seems we were wrong. Here…take a look at this!

He signals her to join him by the other cage

The Doctor:
These Dates are the siblings of our friends in the other cage. Now watch
this.

The doctor pushes a few buttons on a panel by the side of the cage.

Cut to an under-water shot of a hatch opening and a predator swimming in, lurking just under the surface where the Dates are drinking water. Suddenly its tongue shoots out and snatches one of the creatures, dragging it under the surface, while the other creatures run away from the water.

The doctor rush back to the other cage and Janeway follows him. They both bend down and observe the Dates, still drinking their water.

The Doctor:
And five…four…three…two…

Suddenly the creatures panic and run away from the water.

Janeway:
(eyes widening) Fascinating! How’s that even possible?

The Doctor:
It seems that all siblings within the species are somehow connected to
each other.

Janeway:
Telepathy?

The Doctor:
No, that is what we can’t figure out! We know the distance between them
is NOT a factor. It's as though they're one and the same mentally, but
inhabit different bodies. It has been known amongst skilled Vulcans, mind
you, but not in such detail.

Suddenly

Sedak:
And whatever they experience during their lifespan…

Janeway and the doctor straighten up and the United Federation of Planets President Sedak is standing behind them.

Sedak:
…their offspring is born with the very same knowledge as their parents AND
their parents' siblings.

Janeway:
Ma'am!

A loud BANG outside. Captain Janeway rushes out of Sickbay, while Sedak turns to the doctor and gives him a memory chip.

Sedak:
I need you to take a look at this, doctor.

The Doctor:
Eh…yes, Ma'am! Right away, Ma'am!

Sedak:
And…let us keep this between us for now!

The Doctor:
Yes, Ma'am!

Sedak leaves the sickbay to join Captain Janeway. Brady turns toward his computer and places the chip in a chip bank with several holes for multiple chips and leans down close to the screen (seen from behind the screen).
Photos flashing by cast lights and colours on his face.

The Doctor
Holy shit!

The camera dip down behind the computer and the darkness behind it becomes part of the steel structures in the roof at the beginning of the bridge over the promenade. Janeway is standing in the middle looking down and Sedak is on her way toward her.

Fade in

(Setting: Bridge over the promenade and promenade seen from the bridge)

Janeway is standing by the banister around the promenade balcony - looking down on the main street. A group of armed terrorists are standing in the middle of the street. Two of them are holding a hostage each, and there are three others pointing their weapons in different directions around them. The crowd is hiding behind anything available.

Janeway:
(Touches her badge) Janeway to…

Sedak comes up at her side and signals her to stop.

Sedak:
Wait!

Janeway:
What’s going on?

Sedak:
The voice of opposition is growing louder by the minute. Ever since our
alien visitors flooded the Alpha Quadrant.

Janeway:
Well…When refusing accesses to the Nexus we pretty much killed their
dreams of eternal life! It's an enticing possibility, don't you find?

Sedak:
An eternal illusion of life, captain!

Janeway:
Close enough!

The terrorist leader grabs a frightened lady close by, with his arm around her neck.

(Setting: Promenade)

Terrorist leader:
Captain Janeway! You have five minutes to appear...(looks around) or we
WILL destroy this station! The countdown starts now!

He pushes a button on his bracelet and part of the device on the floor in front of him moves up, around, and back in place again, beeps once - and starts blinking.

(Setting: Bridge over the promenade)

Janeway looks at the president.

Sedak:
Not yet!

Janeway:
I hope you know what you’re doing, Ma'am!

Sedak is scanning the promenade with her eyes as though looking for someone.

(Setting: Blues Bar - behind the counter)

Cut to the Andorian brothers running the bar “Blues” - both sitting on the floor behind the counter. The young, skinny one (Oral) with only one antenna on the top of his head is sitting behind the bigger one (Eral).

Eral:
Could you not breathe on me with that Blood Worm breath of yours! What
do you eat that crap for anyways?!

Oral:
They're like soooooo lucky I didn’t bring my Bat'leth!

Eral:
Really? Can you even lift it?

Oral:
Bitch!

Eral signals to Oral to be silent. Both look down at the floor and the camera tilt down to show what they are looking at; The floor in front of the counter, just visible from underneath the counter, A pair of shoes is slowly walking past them - toward the exit.

(Setting: Entrance of Blues Bar)

Cut to a corner of the exit door, where the person that just passed the counter stops. Camera pans from the boots and up to the head of a hooded man. He pulls the big hood off his head, revealing the Vulcan/Okampa face of Tomak. He glances at the terrorists very shortly and looks across the street, where Komiri (Species Zakdorn/S116) sits eating his dinner. A soft whisper is heard - without the words coming through clearly.

(Setting: Klingon Restaurant)

Komiri is just about to put a fork in his mouth when he freezes and raises his head - meeting Tomak’s eyes directly. Komiri walks over to the entrance and turns toward the terrorists, and the camera zooms in on a number of details:

(Setting: Promenade)

- The Bat’leth on the back of a terrorist
- A terrorist hiding behind a pillar - and then to a Vulcan standing on the other side.
- And to the terrorist leader holding the frightened lady

(Setting: Klingon Restaurant)

He looks over in another direction at:

(Setting: Promenade)

- The lipstick on one of the two masked terrorists
- The terrorist closest to the candy stand and changing focus to the El-Aurian/Krenim lady minding her own business just behind him.

(Setting: Klingon Restaurant)
Then he looks back at Tomak.

(Setting: Entrance of Blues Bar)

Tomak nods. He turns toward five visitors on the promenade and the whisper is heard again. Each and one turns toward him and nods back at him.

(Setting: Promenade)

The Klingon/Vulcan Marak
The Vulcan Hologram Torok
The Cameloid/Changeling Camilia
The El-Aurian/Krenim Lauren
The Kriosian/Orion Taren

Taren walks straight over to the first masked terrorist

Taren:
Hi!

The female terrorist raises her Phaser rifle threateningly and rests it against Taren's chest.

Terrorist:
(woman's voice) Stay where you are!

Taren:
(smiling) You don’t shoot people on a first date do you?

His eyes get a green glow, and an almost invisible green gas is flowing like waves between them.

Close up of her eyes softening and her finger leaving the trigger. Taren slowly pushes the rifle aside.

Taren:
That’s right...(His face closing slowly in, his eyes locked on hers) Don’t fight
it! (Kisses her on the lips and she collapses on the floor)

The Terrorist by the candy stand turns around from the noise, pulls a large knife out of his belt, and starts walking toward Taren.

Lauren, standing behind him, lifts one fist with thumb and little finger pointing forward, and the terrorist stumbles a bit and then stop. He seems uneasy, sweating and loosening his clothes around the neck.

The camera shifts to a man holding around his wife - both watching what's happening and a flash of lights makes them turn in shock and disgust.

Lauren turns back to the shop owner:

Lauren:
Could I have a Talaxian Coffee to go with that, please?

Over her shoulder there's smoke rising from a black mark in the floor.

The Vulcan by the pillar turns around and walks straight into the pillar. On the other side an arm reaches out of the pillar, pinching the terrorist in the shoulder - rendering him unconscious.

The other masked terrorist is on his way toward Taren and pulls the Bat'leth from his back. Attached to the Bat'leth is a large Tribble which purrs at him and the masked terrorist (Klingon) cries out and drops the Bat'leth. The Tribble rolls across the floor before rising as the shape shifter Camila. The Klingon’s face is twisting with anger but suddenly his eyes are rolling back and he falls to the ground. The Vulcan has reached him from behind and has pinched his shoulder. He turns his head toward the last terrorist.

The Vulcan/Klingon Marak punches in a few numbers on the display of his boomerang and throws it at the last terrorist. He smiles as the boomerang seems to miss him, but just before passing the terrorist the boomerang activates phaser beams in each end, and cut the head of the terrorist (seen through he's shadow on the wall).

(Setting: Bridge over the promenade)

Sedak:
May I present - the Gatekeepers.

Janeway:
Impressive!

Sedak:
Indeed! 42 seconds! They outdid themselves.

(Setting: Promenade)

Janeway's eyes focus on the blinking light on the device, still in place on the floor

(Setting: Bridge over the promenade)

Janeway:
No, Ma'am! They didn't!

Sedak looks at her, then back at the promenade.

Janeway:
The clock is still ticking!

Sedak's eyes widen and she turns her eyes on the promenade, just as the lady hostage that just rescued from the terrorist leader turns her face back from the body lying on the floor and screams:

(Setting: Promenade)

Lady Hostage:
DEATH TO STARFLEET!!!

She pushes a button on her bracelet before the Gatekeepers have time to react. The device on the floor explodes. An alien nearby is thrown through a glass window.

(Setting: Bridge over the promenade)

Seen from behind, Sedak's and Captain Janeway's clothes and flesh are ripped from their bones.

(Setting: Outside the station and planet Mars - at a distance)

From the outside one see the space station explode, and a giant shock wave ripping the moon Phobos apart, and then reaching the planet Mars - torching the surface.

(Setting: The promenade)

With the planet burning in the middle of the screen the camera is zooming out, revealing the picture being played out in the eyes of the terrorist lady - frozen in a position with her finger only centimeters over the button on her wrist. Behind her Tomak is standing with his hands stretched out against the terrorist, planting the suggestion of an explosion in her mind.

(Setting: Bridge over the promenade)

Sedak:
How did you know?!

Janeway:
She never once looked at the bomb!

Sedak raises an eyebrow and looks at Janeway for a few seconds, then nods, and looks down at the promenade…

(Setting: Promenade seen from the bridge)

…where the Gatekeeper team is heading for the turbo lifts.

(Setting: Promenade)

Gatekeeper team passes the camera down at the promenade:

Camila:
(To Taren) "You don’t shoot people on the first date”? Can you get any
cheesier? (Rolls eyes)

Taren:
Eeeeeveryone's a critic!

Fade in

(Setting: The Promenade. From the Internal Transporters and outside the Blues Bar)

The shot opens in the middle of the Main Promenade. It’s a busy street with alien performers doing acrobatics and juggling small furry creatures that squeak every time they are thrown into the air. Small holographic fishes are swimming between everyone, and as a small alien kid tries to feed one of them a whole bunch of them gather around the boy, snatching food and pulling his hair. He screams and his mother chases them away.

Mother:
I told you to leave them alone! I'll tell every one of your fathers when we
get home.

A hovering minibus passes by and we follow it for a few meters before letting it drive out of the shot to the left - and behind it an unknown alien species entering one of the transporter areas. A holographic touch screen twirls around him, and he points toward he desired destination on a big blue print of the station. He dissolves in a number of small balls that fall to the ground and disappear just over the floor in small sparks. One or two balls re-bounce and disappear the second time.

The Gatekeeper team walks by and Gary turns around, observing the transporter as they pass.

Gary Taren:
What happens if any of those balls bounce off the pad?

Camilia:
You end up on the other side with a nose job.

Sevet:
(Raising an eyebrow). Actually - each and every one of those spheres
contains all the information necessary to rebuild you (turns toward
Camilia). Nose included.

Camilia, rolling eyes, forms a talking hand puppet with her right hand, and mouth Sevet's last sentence behind her back.

The group stops outside The Blues Bar

Tomak:
(Turns around toward the team) You have one hour and forty minutes. You
then transport to the briefing room for information about our first
mission…Do you have a question, Mr. Taren?

Gary Taren:
Well, eh…is there by any chance a turbo lift somewhere?

Camilia:
He’s afraid he’ll lose one of his balls!

The others laugh.

Gary Taren:
Well you could use a pair, couldn’t you?!

Camila’s chin drops and she covers her chest with her right hand, visibly embarrassed, the others say nothing, but are visibly trying to hold back laughter while barely maintaining their composure.

Tomak meanwhile looks less than amused and shake his head as they walk by, and leave him alone with Ferman, in front of The Blues Bar entrance.

Tomak:
(Looks at Ferman's smiling face for several seconds) Heading for the bar, I
take it?

Ferman keeps smiling!

Tomak:
Quite!

Tomak Leaves and Ferman turn around and enter the bar.

… assembled in outer space between 1998 and 2011.

Fade from black

A Hologram of 21st Century astronaut Christer Fuglesang is ending its lecture about the International Space Station, and the camera moves from his left side and around to the front.

Christer Fuglesang:
The space station was in Low Earth Orbit - approximately 350 km and
travelled at an average speed of 27,700 kilometers per hour - completing
15.7 orbits per day. The space station was a joint project of several
international space agencies, and was a continuation of several other
previously planned space stations - like the Russian "Mir 2", the American
Space Station "Freedom", the European "Columbus Laboratory" and the
Japanese "Kibō" laboratory.

The camera pans over rows of students in the classroom, while he talks. Amanda Lang is more occupied keeping her eyes on Mike Callahan at his desk on the other side of the room. He turns to pull another PADD from his bag - hanging over the back of his chair, and their eyes meet. He smiles and turns back again. She sighs and her head fall forward into her arms on the desk in front of her.

Christer Fuglesang:
The station was to stay in operation until 2016, but stayed in service until….

The Hologram program suddenly ends.

Principle Moore:
Unfortunately we are out of time folks. Feel free to download the rest of the
lecture to your PADDs. There will be a test on 21st Century space
technology and all the way up to the very first Deep Space Mission THIS
Monday morning.

The students moan.

Liza Kent:
Sir! It’s Archer's Day this Sunday.

Principle Moore:
That IS why we're having the test, Miss Kent. So synthohol only - you hear
Johnson?

Fred Johnson:
(Mumbling on his way out) Dream on!

Amanda looks over at Mike, who is just finishing downloading the Fuglesang hologram into his PADD from a docking station on his desk! She takes a big breath and approaches him.

Amanda Clark:
Hi!

Mike Moretti :
(Smiles at her) Hi! Bummer about the party, huh?

Amanda Clark:
Yeeeaaah! Ehhhh....speaking of the party...are you going?

Mike Moretti:
Oh yeah!

Amanda Clark:
Right……right! So….will you be bringing a girlfriend or…?

Mike Moretti:
(looking up from his PADD and smirks) Hmmmm…I am pretty sure I won't!

Amanda Clark:
(looks surprised) Really? (smiles) Because I was wondering if you would
consider taking…

A boy Mike's age stops when passing him, puts his arms around him and kisses him on the cheek.

John Geller:
I'll pick you up at six, ok?

Mike Moretti:
Cool!

John Geller:
(John waves to Amanda as he walks away) Hi!

Mike looks at Amanda - waiting for her to finish. Her face frozen in a somewhat fake smile.

Amanda Clark:
(Mumbling) But off course!

Mike Moretti:
Consider what?

Amanda Clark:
…if you would consider taking me through the very first propulsion systems?

Mike Moretti:
Sure!

Grabs his arm and pulls him along.

Amanda Clark:
I didn't quite get the part about the cooling systems on the old…

They both leave the room and the camera stops in front of Principle Moore and two students. Moore is reading the PADD of one of the students while giving a few grunts and "uhu"s now and again as he pushes a button to scroll down over the text.

Principal Moore:
That’s amazing, Martin!

Martin smiles proudly at his friend beside him and nods his shoulder with his fist. The friend looks less than happy and is flicking his eyes.

Principal Moore:
In only 30 minutes, you have actually managed to kill off half a squadron
AND make an entire planet unfit for life for the next 2000 years or so.

Martin Tobbs:
WHAT?! (Face flush, grabs the PADD) Are you serious, Sir?

His friend is smiling, looking up at the ceiling while mouthing "Thank you!" without a sound.

Principal Moore:
Not really, no! If you want to do well commanding you need to learn not to
second guess yourself, Cadet!

His friend looks disappointed.

As they walk away the principal turns to see that Gatekeeper Lauren has entered the room.

Lauren:
Principle Moore?

Principal Moore:
Mrs...?

Lauren:
Miss, actually! (shakes his hand) Lauren. I believe your office is next to
mine?

Principal Moore:
Ahhhh, yes! Starfleet’s little tease!

Lauren:
(Looks shocked) Excuse me?

Principal Moore:
Tease!.........TCE? Time Continuum Expert!

Lauren:
Oh…right…

They both laugh

Principal Moore:
Well, I’m glad you're here. I’ve had some problem with one of your theses.

Lauren:
I should hope so - as they’re all restricted to security clearance ten, I would
have to kill you!

Moore smiles at her but when she stays very serious his grin fades.

Lauren:
Just pulling your leg, Principal. You should stop second guessing yourself
you know!

They laugh and turn towards the door which swishes open.

As the door closes, each half of the door is part of the next scene, which starts as soon as the door is fully closed.

Act One
Sequence 2/ Scene 3

Cast:
Tomak: Thomas Dahl
JJ: Laila Strand Krystad
Young Tomak: Undecided
Tomak's Mother: Undecided
Tomak's Father: Undecided

(Setting: Communication Station)

Julie’s fingers dances over the panels until her concentration is broken by a Bajoran apple hovering out of the bowl in front of her. Tomak is about to grab the apple when Julie lifts her left hand and two long wire-like tubes are shot out from between her knuckles. They penetrate the apple which is yanked back into her hand. She puts it back in the bowl.

Tomak:
You are Borg?

Julie's voice is heard without her moving her lips, with a soft echo to it:

Julia:
We know!

Tomak:
(Continues without moving his lips) Your telepathy is quite different from mine.

The two keep talking through telepathy

Julie:
It is! We were severed from the collective before leaving the maturation chamber, and before our vocal cords had developed. (hear head down on one side). We do not have your telekinetic abilities though - OR the power of suggestion. Most interesting!

Tomak:
My father was Okampa. Then again you most likely know everything about me, by now?

Julie lifts her head, and measures him up and down, and her Siamese twin - Jane - (connected in her back) looks over her shoulder.

Jane:
(also telepathically) Your block is very effective, but when mentioning your father you temporarily lost control over your emotions.

Tomak looks slightly uncomfortable.

Jane:
Your childhood…

A flash of a young boy covering his ears, tears on his cheeks. Sound of his parents arguing in front of him and their shadows on the wall behind him.

Tomak:
Enough…

Flash continues. The young boy suddenly shouts at his parents but his voice is not heard.

Flames are appearing in front of him almost like an explosion, and he looks shocked.

Tomak:
ENOUGH!

The panels start blinking and sparking for a few seconds.

Julie:
My sister has a tendency of sticking her nose into other people's business. I am Julie by the way, and she is Jane. Our friends call us JJ.

Jane:
Or they would if we had any!

Julie ignores her sister, grabs an apple and throws it to Tomak, but when a hand catches it, it’s a scanner, caught by engineer Riley in the Cargo Bay.

Act One
Sequence 2/ Scene 3

Cast:
Riley: Christian Kinell
Taren: Anton Sundèn

(Setting: Engineering! Sitting in front of the Station power source)

Riley:
Do be careful, Lieutenant! It's one of a kind!

Taren:
Oh…sorry! It looked like an ordinary technical tricorder.

Riley is scanning the station power source without looking up.

Riley:
It was! But thanks to the UFP restrictions I've had to rebuild it to be…(console sparks when he touch it)…DAMN IT…to be able to do my job!

Stops scanning and looks at Taren

Riley:
Can you believe it! I'm the chief engineer, and I don't even have the security
clearance for the station blue prints and technical manuals.

Taren:
(Studying the power source) So...how do you fix whatever breaks down?

Riley:
I tap it with my magic wand!

Taren laughs!

Riley:
OR I contact the UFP engineers. (Keeps working) I have a good mind to keep the communicator buzzing all night. (Looks at Taren again) Mind you - I have enough to sink my teeth into with what I do have clearance for. Like broken replicators, Holodeck malfunctions - and don't get me started on the Holospheres.

Taren:
(Looks at the power source) What's this then?

Riley:
It's a contained subspace singularity.

Taren:
Really? (looks closer) Like the old Romulan Quantum Singularity? Wasn't that dangerous?

Riley:
Hehe I take it you're not an engineer then?

Taren:
(smiles) Can't say that I am, no.

Riley:
Well...kind of, but without all the problems attached. This one bends the
continuum of subspace.

Taren, who is leaning on the outer casing, quickly pulls back his hands, nervously

Riley:
Oh don't worry! All radiation dissipates into the deep layers of subspace.

Taren:
(Skeptical) And how do you manipulate it into spilling energy in OUR layer of space?

Riley:
With a polarized chronoton emitter!

Scanning the chamber and handing it over to Taren

Riley:
You can actually see the process in action by scanning for quantum anomalies.

Taren:
Really? (looks at the scanner and is about to hand it back when he hesitates)
That's strange!

Riley:
(grabs it and looks at it) What do you mean?!

Taren:
Well…I'm no engineer, but there's more than one anomaly here.

Riley:
Looks good to me! The curve's one hundred percent text book……..ahhhhh

Taren:
Exactly! It's too perfect! There's no variation whatsoever. It's absolutely clean all the way through. There's only one type of reading that looks like this.

Riley:
Particle Synthesis?

Taren:
Right!

Riley fishes up a small device from a pocket, looks around, and attaches it to the tricorder. He starts scanning the power source again, but suddenly it sparks and dies.

Riley:
(Dropping tricorder)WOW! What the…..?!

They look at each other

Taren:
What happened?

Riley:
I'm not entirely sure. The moment I scanned beyond the casing the power cells overloaded. Whatever is hidden behind it has a power potential ….ten times more than that of a subspace singularity the same size.

Taren:
I don't think I like where this is going! Are you telling me we’re staring at a power source capable of destroying half a quadrant?!

Taren & Riley look at each other for a while and then at the power source. They both lean in slowly toward the camera (now taking the place of the power source).

There's a bang as a bottle with blue liquid hits the table in the Blues bar (we have jumped to the next scene).

Act One
Sequence 2/ Scene 4

Cast:
Komiri: Kenneth Lund
Wood: Herbert Van-Vliet
Kelaan: Frederic Lehman
Female Alien: Undecided

(Setting: Blues Bar)

Komiri is sitting alone at a table in the Blues Bar, sipping from his Andorian Wine. One glass in his hand, and a big bottle on the table. His eyes wanders to the Vorta by the bar desk talking to a beautiful female of unknown species. The Vorta's glass filled with Rippleberries.

Komiri:
(Whispering to him self) You’re lying to her, aren’t you - you bastard.

The Vorta freezes for a moment and slowly turns his head toward Kimiri, then continues his conversation with the female.

Komiri:
(still whispering) That's right! I'm talking to you!

The Vorta is getting nervous and misses his glass when trying to grip around it. It tumbles over and spills everything over the counter.

Komiri is smiling!

Wood:
Mind if I join you?

A human is standing beside Komiri's table.

Komiri:
Do you drink Andorian Wine?

Wood:
No, Sir - I don’t!

Komiri:
(smiles) Then, yes! Be my guest!

Wood laughs and takes a seat beside him! Kimiri points to the Vorta.

Komiri:
What’s his story?

Wood:
Ahhhh! That would be councillor Kelaan!

The Vorta kisses the girl's hand, and walks out of the bar.

Kimiri:
Councillor no less? AND Vorta!

Wood:
Yes!

Kimiri:
One should think they had their own problems to worry about.

Wood:
Hmmmm! I won’t argue with you there. He’s got a life span of one year! He’s a good councilor though!

Kimiri:
I though they got to be quite old!

Wood:
They do! The average is 180 years. But the genetic alteration they went through is still a considerable problem. In fact - the few Vortas in existence today are the very same individuals we fought during the Dominion war.

Kimiri:
But if they still keep the species going by cloning, why is he hitting on that girl.

Wood:
The problem with cloning is that a copy is still a copy. There are often complications. Small genetic variations with rather huge consequences in abilities or personality. In councilor Kelaan’s case he made a rather drastic genetic trade, so while his romantic life is fine…

Kimiri:
…he has a problem living?

Wood:
That's about it - yes! Every year his memories are transferred to another clone. In fact - to day is the big day.

Kimiri:
Amazing what some are willing to do for a piece of tail. So what’s your story, then?

Wood:
I’m the station chief science officer…

Kimiri:
Sounds like any other slow agonizing death.

Wood:
(mumbles the rest with his back turned)…and the station priest!

Kimiri:
Say what?

Wood:
Here we go again!

Kimiri:
You can’t be serious!

Wood:
So they keep telling me.

Kimiri:
You can’t see the conflict in that?

Wood:
Enlighten me?

Kimir:
That’s like being the councilor and the patient at the same time. We’re talking turtle people here…no offence!

Wood:
Turtle people?

Kimiri:
Old Earth history! A long time ago a scientist and philosopher named Russel travelled around on Earth with his lecture about the planets, when an elderly lady interrupted. “Rubbish”, she screamed. “Everyone knows Earth is a flat disk resting on the back of a turtle”. “Really?”, said Russel. “And what - may I ask - is the turtle standing on?”. “Very clever!”, she answered. “But it’s turtles all the way down!”. THAT'S religious logic for you.

Wood:
I think you’ll find that religion …as its followers…has developed quite a bit since the Dark Ages.

Kimiri:
It’s still a matter of belief though.

Wood:
That’s true, but there are still things we know nothing about.

Kimiri:
And so you cast your scientific method over board?

Wood:
I'm still a passenger though. Doesn’t mean I can’t go diving from time to time.

Kimir:
Cheers to that! (Takes a sip of his drink and whistles very loudly) WAITER! ONE LARGE MILK FOR THE PASTOR!

Wood smiles a bit embarrassed to people around him.

Act One
Sequence 2/ Scene 5

Cast:
Brady: Erik-Andrè Mamen
Kelaan: Frederic Lehman
Andrew: Stefan Åkesson

(Setting: Sickbay)

The Vorta Kelaan is standing in the opening with a bouquet of flowers.

Doctor Brady:
(annoyed) You're cutting it a bit short this time, aren’t you?

Kelaan:
Well I'm sorry I'm not showing more enthusiasm hasting towards my death.

Doctor Brady:
What’s with the flowers, are you asking me on a date?

Kelaan:
Oh…no…I’ve been thinking!

Doctor Brady:
(rolling eyes) Oh, let’s not go there again. We have this debate every year! Look! Sometime during the next two days your cellular structure will collapse…

Kelaan:
…and leave an unpleasant puddle on the promenade - I know! But I have this date in only two hours, and I feel just fine. If we could just do this procedure tomorrow morning I’d be ever so…

Doctor Brady:
Do I have to remind you of the station opening?

Kelaan:
(same time)…station opening. Not really - no!

Doctor Brady:
The most prominent guests in the entire Alpha Quadrant, and you start dissolving in the middle of President Sedak’s speech.

Kelaan:
(same time) …middle of president Sedak's speech. I remember, thank you very much!

Doctor Brady:
Then one of the Andorian barkeepers start screaming about shape shifter invasions, and the entire ceremony ends in total panic.

Kelaan:
Hey…let’s make it one hour! I could call her and...

Doctor Brady:
(Exasperated) Kelaan!!!

Kelaan walks over to one of the walls, line up with his back against it, with his head resting in a holder, his feet in a container, and a see-through head band glide around his head.

Doctor Brady:
Hold still, please!

He pushes a few buttons and there’s a beep, before the head band pulls back. A panel opens in the wall on his right side, and a perfect copy of Kelaan glides out.

Kelaan Clone:
(Looking up at the sealing) Bright lights!

The Doctor removes Keelans badge and places it on the copy and returns to his desk where he start pushing a few buttons on a panel.

Keelan Clone:
(looks at his original) Hello!

Kelaan looks at the clone and then at the doctor still fiddling with an instrument - back turned against him. In the reflection of a mirror on the table, he sees him entering a small cylinder in his hyper spray.

The camera shifts to a front shot of the doctor - programming the hypo spray. He then turns and walk over to the original, and take his flowers.

Doctor Brady:
Thank you!

He places his hypo spray under Kelaan's ear.

In a close up of Kelaan’s feet you see gel pouring from underneath his trousers before the trousers themselves collapse in a heap.

The Kelaan Clone steps forward.

Doctor Brady:
Don’t worry! It will all come back to you in a few minutes, and you get an entire week on the Holodeck to catch up. Drink a lot of fluid...WATER only!!! Oh yeah…(Gives him the flowers). You have a date!

The clone smiles and holds his arms out to grab the Doctor, with his lips ready for a kiss.

Doctor:
Not with me you nitwit!

The clone copy grabs the flowers and stumble out of Sickbay!

The doctor returns to his desk and pulls the small cylinder off his hypo spray when the com system activates.

Voice of Andrew:
Kelaan! May I presume the process is completed?

Doctor Brady:
Yes it is, Commander! But Kelaan is not here at the moment.

Voice of Andrew:
Are you certain, Doctor? According to the computer he is still in Sickbay!

Doctor Brady:
WHAT?!

He rushes back to the buddle in the container and reaches down to pick something up, floating in the thick fluid - the combadge.

Doctor Brady:
We seem to have a situation!

Sequence 2/ Scene 5

Cast:
Walker: Alexander Angeltveit
Andrew: Stefan Åkesson
Marak: Martin Moen

(Setting: Cargo Bay)

The camera moves from behind a cargo container, and the Cargo Bay is presented. The bay has several ships on standby, and elevators moving up and down the wall, to the other floors of the bay.

Wing Commander Walker is talking to one of his flight engineers who hands him a small device, when the hissing of the Cargo Bay doors opening makes him turn to his right. Marak and Andrew walk in.

Walker:
(To Andrew) Commander! Any trace?!

Andrew:
No! He has clearly been planning this for quite some time. The moment his clone left its stasis all life signs were transferred to the new copy in our main computer. The only way we will find him is to physically bump into him - and it is a rather large station.

Walker:
He’ll turn up one way or the other.

Andrew:
That is what worries me! (Turns toward Marak) Marak! This is Wing Commander Walker. Walker…

Walker:
(Leans forward and grab Marak's hand) ...one of the Gatekeepers I take it?

Marak:
Yes!

Walker:
Perfect timing! I just received your badge!

Marak:
(Reaches for his badge) I was given my badge as I left the UFP…

Walker:
That's a Starfleet badge. THIS…(attaches the badge to Marak's Jacket) …is the Gatekeeper badge. Notice - there are two doves forming the Starfleet emblem. The dove to the left is your standard communicator. A slight touch to activate it, as normal. Cover both doves for more than two seconds and you activate the second dove.

Marak covers the badge with his right hand and is shortly after tipped backwards in what suddenly appears as a seat. A bubble surrounds him, and holographic panels appear in front of him.

Marak:
(Touches a few buttons on the screen) Most impressive! Time travel capabilities, Subspace Shielding….and the weapon systems?

Walker:
There are none!

Marak touches the badge again. The panel retracts, the bubble disappears, and he’s tilted back on his feet.

Walker:
It's an emergency solution only. A weapon system would double the size of the badge.

Marak:
I see. Did you receive any other equipment shipments from UFP Headquarters?

Andrew:
Yes, they arrived an hour ago. Unfortunately the cargo is labeled "security clearance nine", which means you will be doing the inventory, alone.

Marak:
Could you take me there right away?

Andrew:
Those are my orders, yes! It is stored at the upper bay. (Andrew walks over to the transporter pads, and Marak follows). Computer - two to transport to Cargo Bay One.

The two dissolve in small balls which fall to the ground. Close-up of a small ball bouncing on the floor and a hand picking it up. It’s a golf ball and the hand belongs to Lt. Commander Fletcher, in his private quarters.

Cast:
Computer voice: Denise Crosby
Fletcher: Peter Rydèn
Hawk: Ole-Tom Ingebrigtsen

(Setting: Fletcher's Prive Quarters )

Ben Fletcher lifts his golf ball from the floor - the ball quite visible in his half see-through hand. As he straighten up there’s a “chirp” and the view screen glides out of the wall. The computer voice activates.

Computer voice:
Incoming Message from Starfleet Local Branch - Norway.

Fletcher places the golf club in its stand by his desk.

Fletcher:
Computer! End program!

He flicks the golf ball in the air and it vanishes.

Fletcher:
Open a secure channel! Authorization Fletcher echo..one.. zero.. seven.. one..delta.

The face of Admiral Hawk, Starfleet’s regional admiral responsible for Starfleet’s ship and station engineers, is sitting behind his office desk.

Fletcher:
Admiral!

Hawk:
Lt. Commander! It’s good to see you again! How are you doing my friend?

Fletcher:
Is my family ok?

Hawk pauses and sighs.

Hawk:
You know I’m not in liberty to give you that information.

Fletcher, disappointed, says nothing.

Hawk:
You died - and were given another chance through the “2nd Soul“- program. You can’t ever be in contact with anyone from your former life, Fletcher. You know that.

Fletcher:
But can’t they at least know I’m alive?

Hawk:
Do you really think that would make it any easier for them? Besides - technically you're not really alive, Fletcher! Your personality and experiences are recreated, and you're body is nothing more than a holographic construction. We've talked about this a number of times.

Fletcher:
Trust me, Admiral. Hologram or not - I'm the still the same person I was before the accident.

Hawk:
That would be the very essence of the program, Fletcher. You're death couldn't have come at a worse moment!

Fletcher:
(Sarcastically) Gee! If I had only known I would have sucked it up and postponed my death until it was more convenient for you all.

Hawk:
You know what I mean, Fletcher….(sighs)… The entire quadrant is
threatened by total chaos. I don't mean to belittle your demise. You know that, Ben - but some things are more important that you or I.

Fletcher says nothing.

Fletcher:
(Serious tone)I know…..but if this is going to work you need to treat me like a person, not an everyday computer program.

Hawk:
(nods) Fair enough!

Fletcher:
What happens if they visit the station?

Hawk:
Well….no one enters the station without Starfleet Security knowing about it. We'd have you…

Fletcher:
…removed for the duration of their stay.

Hawk:
Yes!

Fletcher is shaking his head without responding

Hawk:
Look…you’re the only one capable of seeing this through. We couldn’t let you go. Let's make the best of it.

Fletcher looks down in the floor without responding.

Hawk:
Anyways! It’s in motion as we speak!

Fletcher:
(looks up) What?!

Hawk:
They’re aboard the station, Ben!

Fletcher turns his head toward the door and it glides open with a soft sound. Elisabeth Janeway enters her private quarter (scene shift).

Captain Janeway enters her quarters and is visibly tired. The lights are out except for a nigh light on the other side of the room. She tosses two PADDs on the table, stops in the middle of the room and lays her hands on the back of her neck - tilting her head back. She turns toward the replicator and walk over to it.

Janeway:
Coffee. Black!

The replicator produces a mug of coffee. She grabs it with both hands and walks over to the window while blowing into the cup to cool it down a bit. Then she sips it and sighs loudly of relief while looking at the spectacular planet MARS outside.

Unknown voice:
*Ehem*

Startled, Janeway turns around toward a dark corner of the room. She sees a pair of glowing yellow eyes staring back at her.

Unknown voice:
I'm dreadfully sorry about the intrusion, Ma'am.

Janeway:
(Touches her badge) Intruder alert! Security to the Captains Quarters.

Unknown voice:
My goodness! Now see what you got us into. I told you this was a dreadful idea.

A number of beeps, and small lights blinking from the shadows.

Unknown Voice:
Oh do be quiet, R2!

C3P0 wobbles out of the shadows. R2D2 is rolling over the floor beside him
and beeps again!

C3P0:
I’m afraid we got our self in a bit of a pickle, Ma'am.

Close up of a circle of light in the middle of a stone floor, and several smaller circles around it. Sparks appears over one of the circles and hundreds of small spheres appear - spiraling upwards while the camera follows. The shape of Tomak is put together, and his head turns to his right and down at the circle of light beside him.

The camera moves low and in some speed over the floor, where similar sparkles and spheres appear in each and every circle.

A wide shot of the entire room shows all Gatekeepers standing in each light circle - except for two empty ones, and an opening in the direction of the door.

Komiri is about to sip from his drink (still in his hand) but stops when meeting Tomak’s eyes.

Komiri:
(mumbling) There’s still 15 minutes left.

The door opens and Elisabeth Janeway is standing in the doorway. Komiri hides his drink behind his back, and she enters the room. On each side of her R2D2 and C3PO.

Camilia looks at Taren and he shrugs his shoulders. Marak narrows his eyes and slowly lays his hand on his Holographic Bat'leth handle.

Janeway walks over to the opening of the ring and turns toward C3PO - and he looks down at R2D2.

C3PO:
If you please?

A small hatch opens in the robot and a small disc shaped device glides out. C3PO bends down and picks it up, and then walks into the middle of the circle. He pushes a button on the device and places it in mid air - where it stays, and then step back in the circle.

Small spheres suddenly rice from the two empty light circles. UFP President Sedak and Starfleet Admiral Hawk is soon standing in the two spots. A low whispering is heard around the ring.

Hawk is about to say something when Janeway raises a hand in signal for him to wait - her eyes firmly focused on the device.

A few beeps from R2D2 and a light tarts blinking on the device. A holographic miniature of a man appears on top of it, flickering like an old TV image.

Del-Mon:
I am Del-Mon, Head of the new Jedi High Council. I come to you with a
warning. A powerful Sith Lord beyond your imagination is on his way,
bringing the ally that brought him back to life. His name…is Darth Vader.

Janeway:
(looking at 3CPO) Vader?

3CPO:
Shhhhh

Del-Mon:
There are many questions to be answered. Close your eyes and open your
minds.

He closes his eyes and raises his hands with his palms up and a bubble forms around him. Marak reaches for his holographic Bat’leth.

C3PO:
Please Sir! There is no cause for concern.

Marak looks at Janeway.

Janeway:
Stand down! (she closes her eyes)

…he let go of the handle but looks worried. As his eyes closes the bubble expands like an explosion of light and wind, and moves right through the people around it. Images suddenly appear in their head.

The light stops in an instant and everyone gasps for air. Janeway looks shocked and freeze for a moment, before saying very calmly:

Janeway:
Red alert!

The light in the room changes and an alarm goes off.

Janeway:
Tomak! I need you to locate JJ.

Tomak:
(Looks into the floor for a short moment) She is still on the station but is
preventing me from pinpointing her location.

Janeway:
Find her!

Tomak dissolves in small spheres that fall to the floor.

Janeway:
(to Komiri) You've got fifteen minutes to set it up!...and Komiri...if I catch
you drinking that stuff again I will launch it so far up your ass - a Vulcan
transporter won't be able to lock on to it!

Komiri drops the glass on the floor behind him, nods and the entire group dissolve in small spheres that fall to the ground.

Admiral Hawk:
We need to talk! (he walks toward the door)

Janeway meets Sedak's eyes for a moment and the two follow him. The door swishes open and the light outside is blinking read when they enter the hallway. The gentle voice on the com system keeps repeating:

Com Voice:
“This is NOT a drill. Please return to your quarters. This is NOT a drill….”

The door closes in front of the camera and ends the scene in black.

The camera moves further back over the conference table, where Admiral Hawk is sitting with his back to the window, and with President Sedak and captain Janeway on the other side of the table - backs against the camera, but we only see one shoulder of each.

Admiral Hawk:
What were you thinking?

Janeway looks discreetly in President Sedak's direction and then down into the table.

Admiral Hawk:
Are there any rules you haven’t broken? Genetically engineered species?
Do you even know why they banned this in the first place?

Janeway looks up at Hawk.

Admiral Hawk:
It wasn’t pretty, I’ll tell you. The UFP members will have a field day with

President Sedak:
(Same time) No!

Admiral Hawk:
Sedak?

President Sedak:
Well….there IS the matter of the station power source.

Admiral Hawk closes his eyes. Janeway looks at Sedak and she nods. She
then throws a PADD on the table in front of Hawk. He's startled by the
sound the PADD makes when hitting the table in front of him. He looks at it
for a while and his shoulders sink, before leaning ever so slowly over it,
reading it without ever touching it.

Admiral Hawk:
I don't understand. Why would you build a…

Janeway:
Page two!

Admiral Hawk lifts the PADD up, push a button, and reads page two. He then lays it very slowly on the table and stares without focus in front of him. His sweat is glistening on his forehead!

Admiral Hawk:
Could I have a glass of water please?

Janeway:
Computer, Water, Cold!

A glass appears on the middle of the table (by small spheres rising in a spiral), and Hawk grabs it and drinks it all! Then sighs and set the glass back on the table. He looks at the President.

President Sedak:
Let us…what is the phrase….cut to the chase? (looks at Janeway). With all
due respect Admiral - we are not at Starfleet Academy anymore. We are
at war. The most powerful enemy this galaxy has ever encountered is
back. Despite, I may add, reassurances that she would not - and with
reinforcements. THIS little facility of yours (raise her arms with palms up) is
the target.

Admiral Hawk raises his shin and fills his lungs with air, but Sedak continues.

President Sedak:
I have come to respect and appreciate the ethics of the Fleet, but I am
NOT ready to sacrifice the entire quadrant to maintain your never ending
“do not” - list, Admiral. After all - what good would your ethics be if there
are no one left to live by it?

Admiral Hawk:
You know where I stand on this issue, Madame President. Sacrificing what
makes us human to survive is not an option. There's a distinct difference
between living and surviving.

President Sedak:
You have a five year old granddaughter, have you not, Admiral?

Admiral Hawk just looks at her without answering.

President Sedak:
Are you prepared to look into her eyes and explain to her that she has to
die for the sake of Starfleet's principles?

Admiral Hawk still doesn't answer and looks down at the table.

President Sedak:
The Omega is the only power source capable of the shielding and fire
power we will need to secure the station. As for the Gatekeepers we never
added anything that was not there in the first place. We simply combined
the very best from their parents. Each parent from different species.

Admiral Hawk:
That loop hole is so tight you couldn’t squeeze an Andorian fly through it.

Computer:
Incoming message from Starfleet Headquarters.

Janeway looks at Sedak and they all rise from the table.

Janeway:
Display!

A see-through half circle screen glides out of a slit in the wall and the picture of Fleet Admiral Manning appears.

Admiral Manning:
Well?

Janeway:
She’s back!

Admiral Manning:
(leans back in his chair) How’s that even possible? We blasted the last hive
into tiny bits, Centuries ago.

Janeway:
Apparently she escaped through a dimensional gate.

Admiral Manning:
Dimensional? The Borg has never had that kind of technology.…Sedak?
Even their time travel capabilities are utmost limited.

Sedak:
That is correct! As far as we know that technology is under UFP control only,
and all vessels are accounted for. We have reason to suspect that the
explosion opened a gate by accident.

Admiral Manning:
Find it and close it! I'll have our Hot Spot sensor readings transferred to your
Astrometics.

Captain Janeway:
Yes, Sir!

Admiral Manning:
(to Hawk) Do you have anything else to report?

Janeway looks down at the floor and Hawk looks at Sedak

Admiral Hawk:
No, Sir!

Admiral Manning:
(pauses for a while) Good! I want an update every six hours!

Admiral Hawk:
Yes, Sir!

The picture disappears and the screen glides back into its slit.

Admiral Manning looks up from his desk after pushing a button on his desk - ending the conversation. The male Betazed approaches.

The Betazed:
He's hiding something. They're all hiding something!

The Admiral rests his head in his hand with the elbow on the table, rubbing his
beard.

Admiral Manning:
My six year old could tell me that! WHAT are they hiding?

The Betazed:
They're on Mars, Sir!

Admiral Manning:
I know they're on Mars you imbecile.

The Betazed:
It's too far away for me to get a clear reading!

Admiral Manning:
There's always something aren't there? Very well then! Pack your bags?

The Betazed:
Sir?

Admiral manning:
(Rubbing his chin/Thoughfull) We're paying them a visit!

(Setting: Upper Cargo Bay where all the Gatekeepers except Tomak is gathered around Marak).

Marak:
…security level 10.
Camilia! If you please?

Points toward a spot on the floor on his right side. She walks over and stands beside him.

Marak:
Could you face the other way please?

Camilia:
(suspicious) Suuure!

She turns. He grabs a flat and squared metal holster on a table and pulls a square out of it, pushes a button on it and says…

Marak:
Density 5

It beeps and he holds it in front of her neck. It displays her skull, as well as a tiny object at the base of it.

Marak:
The black crystals can be set for six densities and will be integrated into your standard night vision monocle. As you can see there is a microscopic devise planted in her cerebellum. This is a C-link…and you all got one.

Taren:
Say what?

Everyone feels their neck with a hand and looks somewhat troubled.

Marak:
Before leaving the headquarters this morning you all got a hypo spray?

Camilia:
(Rubs her neck and moves back in line) With multi vitamins!

Marak:
No! A C-link is basically a Starfleet nano probe. It finds its way to the cerebellum and establishes a neural link between you and some of your new gadgets, an intra-communication net and…

Tarren:
So like the Borg? We can hear each other's thoughts?

Janeway:
Not quite. You will however be able to tune in to each other’s audio and visual senses, all monitored by the USS Lundgren.

Camilia:
How does it work?

Marak:
Say the word "C-link", and try to see the actual word in front of you. With a bit of practice the latter will suffice!

Lauren:
C-link……impressive. There's a small screen hovering in front of my eyes.

Tries to touch it

Janeway:
It's an illusion only.

The others say the word as well and mumbles words like…wow…hey…not bad…

Marak:
Now add the name of one of the other members.

Camilia:
C-link…Lauren…..HA! I see the back of my neck through Laurens eyes. (gasps) Is my ass that big?

Marak claps his hands once

Camilia:
(jumps a bit) It's gone!

Marak:
The C-link demands full concentration.

Janeway:
Naturally it's only active when on assignment, and can be blocked for privacy at any time.

Marak looks at the President

Marak:
Ma'am! May I?

President Sedak:
(nods) Be my guest!

Marak draws his phaser and shoots her, and she vanishes! Taren reaches for his phaser, and Marak shoots him as well - but this time he just freeze

Janeway:
Hold your horses, everyone!

Marak:
This may look like a standard phaser but it has a transporter buffer integrated, as well as a time delay. It is to become the new Starfleet standard issue. (looking at Tarren) He should be joining us again any moment now.

Janeway removes Tarren's phaser and shortly after he starts moving again and reaches for the phaser that is no longer there.

Janeway:
Stand down, Tarren!

She gives him back his phaser, and he's looking confused.

Marak:
It only lasts for a few seconds, but should provide a tactical advantage!

He pushes a few buttons on the phaser and directs it toward a box on the floor and President Sedak appears again, standing on top of it.

Marak:
Madame President?

President Sedak:
You are welcome!

She clicks her heals together and step off the box, but keep walking over the floor - several centimeters from the surface. She clicks them again and slowly descends.

President Sedak:
The souls of these shoes will with a simple click of the heels lock you in a fixed position over the surface according to the angel of your feet and the ground beneath them. They do so by measuring the gravitational pull as well as electromagnetic radiation from the ground.

Looking at Marak.

President Sedak:
(Raising eyebrows) Would you be so kind?

Marak fills his lungs with air and breath heavily in a surrendering manner, and lifts the metal holster.

Marak:
Yes Ma'am!

Sedak pulls her hand up from behind her back and a read beam hits the holster and throws it clear of Marak's grip.

President Sedak:
This is a personal MiniPhaser.

Lifts her hand and shows a small phaser shaped like half a knuckle duster.

President Sedak:
Based on an old Earth Knuckle Duster. Flip the thumb sensor up, rest your thumb on the display (small lamp is turned on) and the weapon will start working - providing it is your personal MiniPhaser and the thumb is attached to the rest of your body - and has a pulse.

Camilia:
(looks at Lauren) Eeeeeeewwww

President Sedak:
It has the same fire power as the old standard Starfleet Phaser. Push the display once for stun, and all the way down to kill. It's an emergency phaser only.

Janeway:
It is!

President Sedak:
Excuse me?

Janeway:
(in Sedak's voice) You said "it's" an emergency phaser only! I seldom use contractions!

President Sedak:
(In Janeway's Voice) Ahhh, crap! Cosmo Out!

President Sedak's body changes into Janeway as do the clothes, they all turn toward the other Janeway who is on her way changing to President Sedak.

President Sedak:
This is the Cosmo. (Loosens the straps of the black half circle device, as it's placed over her front and back like a double rucksack). It will change your appearance to any pre-programmed matrix.

Lauren:
May I ask how you altered your voices?

President Sedak:
You may notice there is a small tattoo on my neck. This is not a Vulcan trend.

Komiri:
(whispering to Taren) Did she just make a funny?

Taren:
Shhh…

President Sedak:
It contains the latest of UFP's micro technology, and widens your natural vocal spectrum substantially. This gives you the capability to mimic any other voices or sounds - given some practice.

Marak:
During our mission it is essential that both hands are free at all time, which is why your scanners are redesigned. This is attached around the wrist (pulls down his sleeve), with a pin shaped scanning device pointing forward (demonstrates with his hands) and a voice controlled holo bar displaying the screen. "Scan display"

A bracelet shaped see-through screen wraps itself around the wrist, and displays a number of control buttons. He points it at Taren, pushes a few buttons, and a list of data rolls down the screen.

Marak:
It is totally silent, and has a manual activation button for C-link control during surveillance.

President Sedak:
This equipment, as well as a few improved Starfleet issues, is to be regarded standard equipment for all away missions.

Captain Janeway:
Ladies! (Throws a tiny backpack to Komiri and Taren, and keeps throwing one for each Gatekeeper) Your backpacks!

Komiri:
(Looks skeptically at the backpack) It's a purse!

Camilia:
Or not! (Pulls up a large Sniper Phaser Rifle)

Janeway:
The CSC - or Compact Space Container - is another result of the latest micro technology, with a RS-generator, the size of a walnut!

Lauren:
(To Camilia) Relative Space Technology - Right?!

Camilia:
Inside bigger than the outside?

Captain Janeway's badge gives a small "chirp" and she turns towards the bay door which opens to each side. The android Andrew glides around the corner in great speed on a hover board. It retract into one of his booths before he slowly descend.

Captain Janeway:
A modified version of your gravity boots. During this mission you will be accompanied by some of our station officers: Commander Andrew, (the doctor walks around the corner) Doctor Brady....

Komiri:
(To Marak) We're babysitters now?

Fletcher suddenly appears just beside him in his half visible state - looking straight at Komiri.

Captain Janeway:
...and Lt. Commander Fletcher.

Fletcher:
(To Komiri) Lieutenant!

Captain Janeway:
And no Tarren! You cannot have the hover board. It takes too long to master - unless you're an android. I'll rather not scrape you of a Borg Cube wall.

Janeway bends down and picks up Marak's metal holster.

Janeway:
Andrew!

She throws the metal holster of her x-ray screen straight for Komiri's face, and two red beams shoots out of Andrew's eyes and the holster incinerates.

President Sedak:
Phaser banks. One of several updates for our android friend.

A close-up of Andrew's face shows his eyes totally red. Then they roll back in his head and are replaced with his ordinary eye color. Suddenly the red-alert sounds again and a number of small balls appear from the floor and quickly form the shape of Tomak.

Tomak:
HotSpot S4 just activated…As did JJ!

Tomak and Janeway walk through the corridor, heading for Astrometics.

Tomak:
They say Jane activated first. She tried assimilating her sister, but Julie ripped her probe right out of her hand.

Tomak:
Most likely she was assimilated from the inside.

Woman passing them:

Janeway nods:

Janeway:

Tomak:
She assimilated five of the security guards as well as Johnson from technical and tapped into the…

Janeway:
Commander!!! Where is she now?

Tomak:
That is what I am trying to say. We do not know!

Janeway sighs and looks annoyed.

Tomak:
Sneaking up on a telepath is not easy?

Janeway:
And if they find her?

Tomak:
She will have all our basic technology downloaded and integrated in her defenses. We would need the element of surprise.

He hands Janeway a PADD.

They stop. Only Janeway is visible as Tomak is hidden behind a corridor corner, but his shadow is visible on the wall beside Janeway. She hands him back his PADD.

Janeway:
Make it happen!

Tomak:
Yes, Ma'am!

The shadow of Tomak dissolves into small falling spheres. Janeway turns and face the door to Astrometics. It opens in front of her and President Sedak's voice is heard from inside.

(Setting: Astrometics)

Sedak:
…for a long time. This was finally solved by placing…

Janeway walks in. President Sedak is standing in front of the Gatekeeper team in a half circle around her, with a large screen on the wall - displaying graphics as she explains.

President Sedak:
…a large number of subspace sensors - often referred to as Hot Spots - in the centre of every single sector of the Alpha and Beta Quadrant. According to Starfleet Command the alarm went off in Sub quadrant S, Section grid 4, Sector Quad 02, Sector block 205, and Sector 54.

The screen zooms in on each part of the grid as she presents them.

Janeway:
Do we know where they're headed?

President Sedak:
Yes! The subspace radiation from the ship is setting off every hot spot on its way. They are heading straight for The Gatekeeper.

Janeway:
Any specifications?

President Sedak:
Not as of yet! But the size of the ship is that of a large moon.

Marak's eyes are widening and he stares at the president.

Taren:
(Turns toward Komiri) That can't be good!

Komiri:
You think?

President Sedak:
On the positive side the fabric of space and time in our galaxy is too dense for the ship's hyper drive technology to work. Otherwise they would be right on top of us.

Janeway:
That's always something. They would have to rely on warp technology with a maximum between 9 and 10. That will take them…at least a week to reach our station. Am I right?

The doors open and Doctor Brady walks in. He seems a bit intimidated by the Gatekeepers on each side but walks straight over to President Sedak and hands her a computer chip, and a small box.

President Sedak:
(Looks at Janeway) Presume nothing, Captain….Walk with me!

She crosses the floor toward the door and Janeway follows her out. The doctor is suddenly aware of being left alone with the Gatekeepers and looks very uncomfortable. No one says anything. They all stare at him.

Doctor Brady:
I've never been here before………………….It's nice!

A sudden "chirping" sound makes him turn, and we are looking at Janeway outside the large glass wall of the Marine Biosphere, with several dolphins gliding past her on the inside. President Sedak standing beside her.

Sequence 1/ Scene 5

Janeway: Irene Brustad
Andrew: Stefan Åkesson

Girl: Undecided
Tomak: Thomas Dahl
Camilia: Nicola Powell

(Setting: Close up / unknown)

Janeway:
You found her?

Cut to Andrew in one of the Blue Wings (Private Quarters)

(Setting: Blue wings / outside someone's private quarters)

Andrew:
I found HIM!

Looking over at a terrified girl in a doorway of a private quarter, and down on the floor in front of the door, at a puddle of slime with a flower bouquet floating in the middle.

(Setting: Outside Biosphere Aqua)

Janeway:
(Nodding at Sedak. She nods back and leaves) Great, that's exactly what we need right now! Have maintenance clean it up, and ask Doctor Brady to clone another one. Then meet me outside Biosphere 2.

(Setting: Blue wings / outside someone's private quarters)

Andrew:
Yes, Ma'am! (Looks at the girl in the doorway) Everything is under control, Miss! Please return to your quarters.

Camera circling Andrew as he speaks to the girl - exposing JJ standing behind him with her Borg probes entering his neck. The moment the doors close, her probes retract and Andrew collapses on the floor. Her head barely nodding to one side (small electronic sound) and she disappears in a heap of small balls falling to the ground.

(Setting: Outside Biosphere Aqua)

At the Marine Biosphere Captain Janeway is looking into the Biosphere at the dolphins swimming by. We are watching her back and a large number of balls rising from the floor - forming a shape that is out of focus so far.

Janeway:
I've been expecting you JJ.

JJ looks at her without answering.

JJ:
Captain Janeway! Resistance is futile!

Janeway turns around! JJ raises her arm and her probes instantly penetrate Janeway's neck and then retract again. Janeway looks at her while the probes moves under the skin in her face. Then she smiles and spit out a number of very small silver coloured metal particles which hit the floor with small metallic "pings", before changing her shape into the Gatekeeper Camilia.

Camilia:
Shape shifters don't really assimilate that easily JJ.

JJ show no expressions at all and makes a short nod to one of the sides with her head (small electronic sound). Nothing happens.

Camilia:
That's right. The moment you arrived the transporters went off line. Tapping into Andrew's C-link was not one of your best ideas…given that he hasn't got one. You're getting sloppy JJ.

JJ turns around and Janeway is standing behind her with a Starfleet Phaser. Tomak at her side.

Janeway:
I'm sorry JJ, but you were right! Resistance is indeed futile.

She fires the Phaser and JJ vanishes. The phaser transporter cartage lights up and Janeway removes it and hands it to Tomak.

Janeway:
Keep her stored in the mobile buffer.

Tomak nods and leave, and Camilia walks up to Janeway

Camilia:
May I ask you a question, Captain!

Janeway:
Lieutenant?

Camilia:
The others have been speculating…the robot claims Darth Vader's power is a nine.

Janeway:
That's right!

Camilia:
So….where’s Tomak on that scale? He's a ten right!

Janeway breathes and look down into the floor.

Janeway:
No, Lieutenant! He's a six! No one has ever been a ten!

Camilia looks shocked for a moment, and then put her hand on Janeway's arm.

Camilia:
We'll find a way, Ma'am!

She leaves and the camera zooms in on Janeway's face and then fades to black.

Act Two
Sequence 2/ Scene 1

Cast:
Darth Vader (without mask): Bobby Rice
Borg Queen: Sofia Brattwall
Dark Jedi 1: Martin Zetterlund

(Setting: inside a Borg Cube)

The black screen opens with a moving cape as Darth Vader turns toward the camera. He's clothes are black but somewhat different from the original Vader, and he's unmasked. The handsome face is that of a young man in his twenties, but clearly marked by the dark force.

Darth Vader:
She has failed!

The Borg Queen is standing with her left side toward him, but with her head toward a big screen to her right. She's watching Janeway pointing the phaser at her re-activated operative aboard the station, and the picture fades out as JJ dissolves into the transporter buffer. She turns her head from the screen - gazing empty into the void in front of her with a discreet smile of admiration on her lips.

Borg Queen:
Fascinating! Genetic engineered species. Have they abandoned their precious principles?

Darth Vader:
You assured me she would succeed taking down their sensors.

Borg Queen:
I assured you someone would.

Darth Vader:
(pauses) She was only a decoy?

Borg:
Yes! She provided the necessary distraction for our inside operative to reprogram the sensors.

A lamp lights up at a panel on the wall and the face of an alien humanoid is shown on the display. One of Darth Vader's dark Jedi. His alien face marked with machinery from Borg nano probes.

Darth Vader:
Are you within range?

Fallen Jedi 1:
Our inside operative has kept us clear of the station scanners so far, but in less than a minute we will enter their solar system. It is likely that The United Federation of Planets Headquarter on Mars will lock on to us the moment we do.

Darth Vader:
That is of little importance. There will be no time to analyze the situation, and they will have to rely on instincts only.

Borg Queen:
They still have to penetrate the station shielding.

Dark Jedi 1:
She's right! The station is protected by some sort of subspace shielding. Far beyond our technology. There is no apparent way to penetrate it!

Darth Vader:
You won't have to!

Vader pushes a few buttons on a panel and a screen in front of the dark jedi light up (not seen by the camera).

Dark Jedi 1:
Orders received and understood!

Vader almost looses balance for a moment and rest his head by his temples with both hands.

Borg Queen:
You are about to enter the next stage of your development. Return to your quarters.

Vader nods and leaves and the Borg Queen turns her head to her right.

The camera moves behind a tube from the console and as it arrives on the other side we're on the Gatekeeper Bridge with Janeway and Sedak.

Captain Janeway:
Why didn't they turn up on our sensors?

Fade from Black

Janeway is standing in front of a large screen with President Sedak on her side. We look at a big screen showing the two fighters flying side by side.

President Sedak:
From what I can see, the station's sensors are missing part of its program.

Captain Janeway:
A glitch?

President Sedak:
It is certainly made to look line one…except…the sensors are scanning anywhere but the direction of the two ships. That is quite a coincident!

Captain Janeway:
So Tomak was right. We have a saboteur.

She pushes a few buttons and one of the ships on the screen is isolated as a 3D model - slowly spinning on the right side of the screen. A blueprint outline appears on the surface of the ship, with data listed in a box on the left side of the screen.

Captain Janeway:
They're not in any known database!

President Sedak:
Computer! Scan the vessel's alloy!

The red alert instantly sets off, and a computer voice is heard.

Computer:
Red Alert! Borg vessel approaching!

Janeway's eyes widen and Sedak raises her chin. The blueprints of the ship fills the screen with some of its parts marked with red.

President Sedak:
Elaborate!

Computer:
Deroxi Sulderide and Borg Nanoprobes detected on both vessels!

Captain Janeway:
Display weapons and shielding!

A chart over the fighters' weapons and shielding is displayed.

President Sedak:
They pose no danger to us! Computer! Target one of the ships…

Computer:
Locked on target!

President Sedak:
Fire!

The station fires and one of the ships are destroyed, just as the Ferry from the Space Elevator is rounding Phobos and heading for the station. The other fighter sets of toward it and fires. One of the wings is hit and it starts spinning.

Captain Janeway:
Extend shields to Ferry SEF-E.

A force field is barely visible as it covers the ferry, and when the fighter fires again the force is absorbed by the shielding.

President Sedak:
Target the remaining fighter.

Computer:
Locked on target

President Sedak:
Fire!

A blast hits the fighter, but the Borg shielding is already in place.

Captain Janeway:
Raise the frequency by 2.6 and rotate randomly….Fire!

A series of shots are fired and stopped by the shielding but the fifth breaks through and destroys the fighter.

President Sedak:
(Touches her badge) Flight control! Lock Tractor Beam on the Ferry and pull her in toward Gateway 5.

Flight Control:
Yes, Ma'am!

President Sedak:
...and have sickbay standing by!

(Setting: Gatekeeper corridors)
The camera changes to one of the corridors, with the alarm going off and the computer repeating:

Computer voice:
"Emergency personnel to Gateway 5!"

(Setting: Gateway 5)

Sickbay personnel are running through. By the Ferry doors two of the personnel is attaching their magnetic handles on each door and pull them open. The view changes from inside the door, looking out at the personnel dropping their chin looking in. One of them covers his mouth and run a way to throw up.

Personnel 1:
(Turning around and touching his badge) Captain Janeway!

View changes to Janeway

(Setting: Gatekeeper Bridge)

Captain Janeway:
Yes!

Personnel 1:
Ma'am…..I'm not sure how, but….they're all dead!

Janeway looks up at Sedak and as she suddenly understands as her face changes and she cries out:

Captain Janeway:
GET OUT OF THERE NOW!!!

(Setting: Gateway 5)

Personnel 1:
What?

The sound of a high-power force field is the last thing he hears as a light saber cuts him in two from between the legs and up to his head. The two halves fall each as the two Fallen Jedi step out of the doorway - the second one igniting his light saber.

The other personnel straighten up after throwing up (seen from the Jedi), and the view changes as seen from the personnel as the front Jedi swings his saber in front of the camera and the light flash changes the scene.

The light is flashing red as security personnel is running through the corridors and the voice of the computer is repeating its message through the alarm signal:

Computer:
Intruder Alert in section 2! Inhabitants and visitors - stand by for transport!

A woman is backing up against a wall and the blue light from light saber is reflected of her and the wall behind her while the camera is pulling back. She suddenly dissolves into small balls and fall to the ground, and the Jedi is turning his head up close into the picture frame, snarling in anger.
Behind him the other Jedi is holding up a small child by the neck collar and rip of the badge from her shirt, with a pleased grunt. But she still dissolves in his hands and disappears.

Traitor:
They don't lock on to the badge anymore.

Only the silhouette of his shoulder is seen from behind, and both Jedis take a ready stance in front of him.

Traitor:
I'm “Talpa”! Code Delta628 Alpha1!

The camera moves around his shoulder as he speaks, and it's a Starfleet uniform. But his face is not visible.

One of the Jedis is nodding to the other one and they both stand down. The feet of the traitor is shown as he walks over the floor toward the Jedis.

Traitor:
You will need this!

Close up over the traitors shoulder as he presses his hypo spray against one of the Jedi’s neck.

Traitor:
It'll mask your life signs until the computer does another crew scan, and finds there are two duplicates.

Close up from the side of the other Jedi as he uses the hypo spray on the other Jedi. Only his hands are visible, and one of them have a scar on the back of his hand.

Traitor:
You'll transport to a secured holding cell with six other engineers. You need to take them all out before the next scan, or the mission ends there. THEN you enter the cell!

Shot of the Jedis from over the traitor’s shoulder.

Traitor:
You have the security codes?

Close up of Jedi face

Jedi 1:
Yes!

The face dissolves in small spheres and vanishes. The wall behind comes into full focus and the camera zooms out. It is now the wall for the next scene.

Act Two
Sequence 2/ Scene 4

Dark Jedi 1: Martin Zetterlund
Dark Jedi 2: Undecided
Aenar Jedi: Johan Månsson
Vulcan Jedi: Trond Gulvik Larsen
Tomak: Thomas Dahl
Janeway: Irene Brustad
Camilia: Nicola Powell
Marak: Martin Moen

(Setting: Gatekeeper Corridor)

The camera is gliding down over the wall to the door at the bottom of it. It opens and the two dark Jedi turn of their lightsabers. Dead bodies lying on the floor behind them. They exit the room and walk out into the corridor.

They look to both sides before turning to the left and walk straight into the camera.

(Setting: Gatekeeper Main Promenade)

From outside the main promenade the door is opened and they enter the promenade. No one in sight. They take in the majestic size of the promenade and look around, when the sound of a cane hitting the stone floor echoes behind them. Tap……Tap……Tap…

They turn around and find two men standing in the middle of the promenade at a distance - looking at them.

The short one with the cane slowly waves his free hand by his head and the hood on his head is pulled back. He's a pale skinned Aenar - totally blind, with white eyes. His taller friend is Vulcan.

The dark Jedi looks at each other but are still uncertain whether to engage or ignore.

The Aenar lifts his free hand again and a light sword flies out from the inside of his robe.

Dark Jedi 1:
Jedi!

They both touch a button on their wrist and two doubles of each Jedi appear beside them - six in all.

The two Jedi seem unimpressed.

Dark Jedi 1:
You cannot win this fight, Jedi! You are outnumbered two to six…

He raises his hand and pinch with his fingers in mid air, and dark Jedi 3 grabs his own shoulder as if in pane, and collapse on the floor. Dark Jedi 4 look at him briefly and when he turns around again the Aenar's lightsaber is hovering in front of him, and suddenly lashes out over his chest and kills him, before twirling through the air and back to the Aenar - hovering beside him.

The Vulcan and Aenar Jedi are now walking toward them, and dark Jedi 1 and 2 look at their remaining doubles and signal them to attack. They grab their lightsabers from their belt and charge with a great leap - igniting the swords in mid air.

One of them strikes out against the Aenar, and the Aenar lightsaber blocks it, and continues blocking several following attempts. The other one lands in front of the Vulcan, ignite a double sword and shows of a bit with a short kata before charging. But as he charges, the lightsaber dies. He lifts the sword closer to his head and looks at the sparkling end, and the Vulcan very discreetly waves his hand. The lightsaber ignites again and instantly penetrates the fallen Jedi clone's head.

The Vulcan turns toward the Aenar, just as the Aenar sword separates the fallen Jedi clone's fencing hand from his arm, and then strikes him down. It turns off and twirls back into the Aenar's hand, and he manually put it back into his robe.

The two remaining Jedi look at each other and one of them starts walking toward the Aenar and Vulcan. He grabs his lightsaber - pointing it down and back on his right side, and ignite it. Shortly before reaching the Aenar his friend catches up with him, and as he passes him he says:

Fallen Jedi 2:
Wait! This one is mine!

He stops in front of his friend and ignites his sword, looks at the Aenar, and says:

Fallen Jedi 2:
I apologise for cutting straight to the point!

Fallen Jedi 1:
What?

He then moves his arm and the flickering of light and buzzing sound, shows he has swung his sword. Seen from behind they are all standing still…until Jedi one collapse on the floor. Seen over the shoulder of the Aenar the false Jedi 2 change to Gatekeeper Camilia.

The camera pulls back in great speed, showing the hovering feet of the real Jedi 2 in the upper left corner of the picture, and Tomak standing beside him with his hands on his back observing the situation on the other side. The Jedi lightsaber is lying on the floor. Tomak moves his hand and Jedi 2 falls to the ground unconscious.

Camilia:
That was easy!

Aenar:
(talks very slowly) Yes! But these were apprentices only.

Vulcan:
You will find that the Sith Lords are a completely different matter.

Aenar:
You will be wise not to underestimate them! The dark force is of a
magnitude unknown to this Galaxy.

Captain Janeway walk up to Commander Tomak, who has picked up the lightsaber, and is now studying it more closely.

Captain Janeway:
May I?

He hands it to her, and she looks at it for a moment before handing it to Marak coming up at her side.

Captain Janeway:
I need to know everything about it! Have engineering take
it apart.

Marak nods and walk off with it.

Tomak:
You brought reinforcements?

Captain Janeway:
I hope I didn't step on anyone's toes?

Tomak:
Not at all!

Captain Janeway:
This is too important for me to consider anyone's feelings. Besides - I need someone to watch the station while we're away!

Her combadge makes a small noise, and the voice of Andrew is heard:

Andrew:
Your suspicions were correct, Captain! We caught him trying to leave the station on a Cheetah.

Captain Janeway:
Where is he now?

Andrew:
Officially he's in the upper brig - cell 1, but is confined to your personal quarters, as you requested.

Captain Janeway:
We'll be right there!

Andrew:
You should hurry! Admiral Manning and his Betazed friend have just entered the station to interrogate him. They are in the turbo lift as we speak. You'll have about ten minutes before they do a station sweep.

Captain Janeway:
Thank you!

Turns toward Tomak.

Captain Janeway:
You need to get to him before they do. The Cheetahs are
fast, but have a very short range. He would barely be able to leave our own
planetary system.

Tomak:
You suspect a base within our own system?

Captain Janeway:
I'm not sure! But given that they have his little daughter, chances are
he was heading straight for them. I need to know for sure!

Tomak:
He may not want to talk!

Janeway look at him for a moment. His shadow falls over half of her face. Eyes focused on the camera.

Captain Janeway:
Make him!

The shadow on her face dissolves into small spheres falling to the ground.

Andrew: Stefan Åkesson
Tomak: Thomas Dahl
Traitor: Stefan Jonason
JJ: Laila Strand Krystad

(Setting: Gatekeeper Brig)

Admiral Manning and the Betazed are standing in front of Andrew on the brig. He has just discovered that Cell 1 is empty and is giving Andrew a piece of his mind.

Admiral Manning:
Is this a joke?! You've lost the suspect?

Andrew:
No, Sir. According to my file he was transferred to another
location.

Admiral Manning:
Which is?

Andrew:
The location is protected with a security level 10 and on this station that would be Captain Janeway and President Sedak…only.

Admiral Manning
WHAT?

Andrew:
United Federation of Planets felt it would minimise the risk of infiltration.

Admiral Manning's eyes narrows and he looks at Andrew with suspicion.

Admiral Manning:
You are stalling, aren't you?

Andrew:
Sir?

Admiral Manning turns toward the Betazed.

Betazed:
It's an android, sir! I can't tell!

The admiral sighs…

Admiral Manning
Again with the excuses!

… and turns toward Andrew again, starring in his eyes.

Admiral Manning:
Do a station sweep for the suspect.

Andrew:
Yes Sir!

Andrew walks over to the brig station panels (Admiral Manning and the Betazed follow him) and pushes a few buttons. Shortly after a beep is heard.

Andrew:
Negative, sir!

Admiral Manning:
But of course it is……target all titanium alloys thinner
than 0.5 mm.

Andrew:
Sir?

Admiral Manning:
The suspect had his entire lower leg replaced during
his first deep space mission to Gamma 6.

Andrew:
Yes, sir!

He pushes a few buttons again, and a beep is heard again.

Andrew:
There are four people aboard with such an alloy, Sir.

Admiral Manning:
Which one is unidentified?

Andrew:
He's in Captain Janeway's private quarters, Sir.

Admiral Manning:
There you go! Computer! Two to transport to deck
one.

Computer voice:
Security Level nine is required to transport to the
stations upper levels. Please enter an authorisation code!

Admiral Manning:
But for Goodness sake! Manning 658 delta 8

The Admiral and Betazed dissolve and disappear. Andrew touches his badge.

Admiral:
Commander! You have visitors!

(Setting: Janeway's Private Quarters)

Tomak
Thank you Andrew!

The traitor is sitting on a chair with his hands locked to the armrests on each side.

Traitor:
I guess the time is up, Commander! I told you this was a waste of
time. My genetic profile is part Ferengi. You're telepathy won't work with
me.

Commander Tomak:
Ferengi?

The doorbell beeps, and Tomak glances at the door before and looks back into the floor as a memory of JJ's voice from their earlier conversation is heard and seen:

JJ:
…when mentioning your father you temporarily lost control over your emotions.

Tomak:
(mumbling) Emotions!

Tomak looks over at the traitor.

Traitor:
What?

Someone is knocking very hard at the door and Tomak leans in toward the traitor. His face suddenly change to a terrible monster with a huge mouth full of teeth and a number of tentacles and the Traitor screams for his life.

(Setting: Corridor outside Janeway's Private Quarters)

Outside the door Admiral Manning and the Betazed is surprised by the noise and the Admiral orders the two guards standing outside the door to open it by force.

Admiral Manning:
Open the damned door - NOW!

The guards draw their phasers and are just about to blast it open, when the door glides open. Commander Tomak is standing in the opening!

Commander Tomak:
(Looks at the guards) Gentlemen? (Then at the Admiral)
I do apologise, Admiral! I was not informed about your visit! I was merely bringing the prisoner his supper!

Admiral Manning:
What just happened in here? We heard him screaming!

Commander Tomak:
Well, apparently he is allergic to nuts.

Tomak walks away and Manning looks at the Betazed - who seems a bit uncomfortable.

Admiral Manning:
….Well???

Betazed:
Sir!....He…he blocked me out, Sir!

Admiral Manning:
You're a waste of space and money.

Betazed:
Yes, Sir!

They walk into Janeway's quarters.

Admiral Manning:
You better get something out of this one or you’re history!

The doors close behind them.

Marak and Tomak are sitting behind the controls of a small space shuttle in Shuttle Bay. They are preparing for takeoff but are waiting for the prisoner - to be transported to Earth for questioning, and are pushing different buttons to start the ship's systems.

Marak:
Who would voluntarily have their DNA infested with Ferengi genes?

Tomak:
A desperate father trying to get his child back!

Marak shakes his head in disbelief.

Marak:
I'd rather eat mine. (Pause) So how did you pick his brain then?

Tomak:
Even a genetic ability to block demands a certain amount of control.

Marak:
You scared the living shit out of him, didn't you?

Tomak:
It gave me half a second inside his brain.

Marak:
And???

They are interrupted by Janeway entering the shuttle. Behind her two guards with the prisoner. They put him in a seat, step back and activate a force field around him, and then leave the shuttle.

Janeway:
Status?

Tomak:
All systems are go!

Janeway:
Good! You better get going!

Marak:
What about the Admiral?

As she leaves the shuttle:

Janeway:
He's travelling by “other means”.

Marak looks at Tomak.

Marak:
Coward! He knows we're likely to get hit on the way.

Tomak:
Flight control! Ready for takeoff.

Flight control:

Marak:
It's just the new passenger Ferry. They don't waste much time, do they! Business as usual I guess!

Tomak touches the panels.

Tomak:
It is a lot heavier than usual.

Marak:
(pause) Additional shielding after the attack maybe?

Tomak:
Four times heavier than normal.

Marak pushes a few buttons.

Marak:
Raising shields! Weapons online.

Tomak:
Computer! Zoom in on the vessel approaching.

The vessel is seen on the main screen and it suddenly starts changing its shape (transformer style) into an alien vessel.

Marak:
That’s a first….Weapons locked on target!

Tomak:
Fire at will!

Marak fires off two shots which are absorbed by the alien vessel's shielding!

Marak:
No effect!

The alien vessel fires back and the ship instantly slow down.

Marak:
I've lost all controls..shielding, weapons (a spark)…propulsion.

Two Alien drones appear inside the shuttle. Marak hit’s one of them in the shoulder with a phaser beam but he shrugs it off and returns fire. Marak is hit and disolves in an instant. Tomak turns around and fire his phaser, but it's absorbed by a Borg style personal shielding. The Alien shoots Tomak which also dissolves. The other alien walks up behind the first, holding the prisoner by the arm. He makes a strange clicking noise and all three of them transport off the ship.

The view of the empty controls in the shuttle is held for a few seconds - then change. Tomak is holding his hand in front of him and has his eyes closed, and Marak is sitting by the controls. Close up of Tomak opening his eyes and lowering his hand and Marak comes up behind him.

Commander Riley:
She's locked in orbit, Ma'am!

Janeway:
What do you mean? She's got propulsion capabilities.

Commander Riley:
Not today, Ma’am! The Nexus is too close. So far IT is moving in on US - but any energy outlets from the station and it'll start pulling us in as well.

(Setting: Engineering)

Now seen from the engineer's view screen.

Lt. Welch:
Would it be possible to close down the promenades, raise the pressure
to maximum and open a docking went?

Commander Riley:
That could work, yes…

He makes a few calculations on his panel and the graphics shows the Mars moon Phobos passing the same path as the station would have to move.

Commander Riley:
Unfortunately we can only move in one direction to escape the Nexus AND avoid falling out of orbit - and it will never get us moving fast enough to stay clear of Phobos. It's about to pass us in…35 minutes.

(Setting: The bridge)

Sedak:
If my memory serves me they installed a correctional rocket engine to stabilise Phobos' orbit around Mars!

Lt. Welch:
That is correct, Ma'am! But there were never any need to use it more than once, and it would take days to get it started again. We would also have to evacuate everyone from the Phobos facilities.

Janeway:
Riley?

Riley:
We could tractor it away but the only ship with that kind of tractor power is…45 minutes away.

Seen from the Bridge where Janeway is looking at the data.

Janeway:
And the Nexus will reach us in …22 minutes. Will the force field hold?

Commander Riley:
We have no way of knowing, Ma'am! Once we activate the force field it SHOULD start pulling us in though, but whether it is capable of
penetrating it (pause)…well… your guess is as good as mine.

Inside the ship the two are watching a close up of the former planet and a huge area on the surface is replaced with what is clearly a Borg structure.

Marak:
I wonder how big it is!

Marak reaches for the scanning controls!

Tomak:
No scanning! It will give us away! Give me the coordinates of the tracking device.

Marak push a few buttons while Tomak put up a graphic display of Pluto and the two “moons”.

Marak:

A red horizontal line appears on the screen, straight across Pluto.

Marak:

A red vertical line appears - also crossing Pluto, and a small red circle marks the area where the lines cross each other.

Marak:

The entire picture turns to give a side view, and as Marak gives the last coordinate the planet is shown as a wire frame, with one of the squares marked with red.

Marak:

Marak:

Captain Janeway:

Lots of sparks and powerful vibrations. Then everything goes all quiet and the emergency lights are turned on, giving the bridge a very dim lighting.

The traitor and little girl are crawling very slowly trough the ventilation systems.
Through holes in the floor the light from rooms underneath are penetrating the dusty air inside the vent - like bars standing in their way.

They discover a hatch in the roof. The traitor turns the locking device on the middle of the hatch, but the girl stops him.

Girl:
Wait! What if there are Borg outside?

Traitor:
If this is anything like a Borg cube, the ventilation systems are placed
underneath…

The traitor turns the device, moves the hatch, and sticks his head up through the opening, in the middle of what looks like a Borg's “Jeffries Tube”.

Traitor:
…the Jeffries Tubes.

He climbs up and helps the little girl through the opening, and then closes the hatch. He looks at both doors in each end of the tube.

He walks over to one of the doors and looks closely at the lock. Close up of his hand where his finger changes shape into a key which is placed in the lock. He turns it and there's a click. He looks at the girl and then reaches for the handle on the door. But before he even touches it - the door opens. The light from the room outside hits their frightened faces, but the traitor suddenly looks relived.

Traitor:
Tomak!

Tomak:
Did you find the girl?

The girl peaks her head out from behind the traitor.

Tomak:
Right! Is she all right?

Girl:
I can talk, you know!

Tomak:
Indeed….I prefer you do not! This way!

(Setting: Corridors)

They all walk through the corridors, and on the way they find a dead Borg-drone lying on the floor just as the corridor turns to the left.

Traitor:
They are bound to notice!

Tomak:
I had no choice!

The girl slows down and walks pass the dead Borg very slowly. She stops just beside him, and bends over him to look at his technical equipment, and suddenly a door just behind him opens, and a live Borg-drone is standing in front of her.

She screams and Tomak and the Traitor stop and turn around. Tomak raises a hand and the Borg-drone flies through the air and lands on the floor, several meters into the corridor.

The alarm goes off and all three of them run through the corridor while force fields are being raised behind them one by one, with a powerful electric sound. Just as they reach the entrance the door closes in front of them. Tomak lowers his chin and looks at the door and it very reluctantly opens, little by little.

Behind them Borg-drones are working their way through the corridor, passing through the force fields as though tey're not there. The girl screams again.

Girl:
Hurry!

The doors finally open, and just as they pass through the opening there is a spark and the doors close with great speed in front of the Borg-drones.

(Setting: Outside the structure)

They run through the landscape and start climbing the rocks outside. A few metres in front of the complex several underground hatches opens and a large number of Droidekas role up from the ground and rise on their legs to start jumping up the rocks, one by one. Some fall down again and try once more.

(Setting: Looking down the stone wall)

On the top they all look down at the climbing robots, and the traitor changes back to Camilia.

(Setting: Harsh Pluto landscape)

They all run over the open field toward the force field border.

To Camilia:

Tomak:
Take out the force field but make sure the atmospheric bubble remains or we are all in trouble…and take the girl.

One of the Droidekas reaches the top and fires toward the tree. Tomak turns and raises his hand, and the blast is absorbed by a shield in front of him, and then reflected back toward the Droideka. It blows its upper part of and the rest its body falls to the ground.

Tomak:
Marak is close by. Get back to the station and prepare for battle.

Camilia and the girl start running, and several Droidekas reaches the top and rush toward Tomak. They fire again and again and he reflects the blasts with his hands, one by one, while walking toward them.

(Setting: Opening in the harsh landscape)

Soon they have surrounded him. They raise their shields and prepare to attack when Tomak makes a circular movement with his arms. Stones and dirt rise from the ground and start twirling around him, keeping the Droidekas at a distance.

(Setting: Control module by the force field perimeter)

Camilia pushes several commands on the control panels of the force field and atmospheric bubble, and the force field glimmers once before closing down.

Camilia:
We can't leave the bubble. We need to wait here!

The girl looks over her shoulder and Camilia turns. In the horizon far away they see an enormous Borg Cube. Camilia looks at Tomak on the other side of the field.

(Setting: Opening in the harsh landscape)

A few of the Droidekas tries to approach Tomak but is struck down by rocks in great speed. But suddenly the stones and dust dissolve and disappear. Tomak looks at the Droidekas and expect them to attack, but they all close down and roll away.

(Setting: Between the ice covered stone structures)

Darth Vader:
Impressive! You would have been a formidable Jedi in my uiverse.

Tomak turns to his right. Walking slowly toward him is a young man in his late twenties.

Darth Vader:
Unfortunately… it is all behind you. You are not as powerful as you once were!

He gestures with his hand and several icicles break off around the opening of a small cave nearby and flies toward Tomak. Tomak stops them just in front of his own face. Vader smiles.

The icicles melt together into the face of Tomak’s father.

Tomak's father:
You killed us, son!

…and of his mother!

Tomaks mother:
You're a murderer son!

Vader is laughing, but suddenly the ice face turns toward him, and it's Padme.

Padme:
I loved you Anakin, and you killed me.

Darth Vader:
How dear you?

He gestures again, and Tomak is thrown into one of the ice walls, and fall to the ground. He slowly looks up from the ground, green blood pouring from his mouth, and Vader's booths step in front of him. Vader bends down and looks into his eyes.

Darth Vader:
I would love to play some more…but I have a station to destroy!

Tomak turns toward the terrified Camilia…

(Setting: Control module by the force field perimeter)
(Setting: Between the ice covered stone structures)

and the girl and Vader very gently blows into his face, and Tomak dissolves into fine dust and disappears.

(Setting: Control module by the force field perimeter)

Camilia looks shocked, and the little girl screams. Camilia holds her arms around her.

(Setting: Between the ice covered stone structures)

Vader turns toward the two, but just as he's lifting his arm…

(Setting: Control module by the force field perimeter)

the dust around them are blown away and they both dissolve in small falling spheres and disappear. The stone structures behind them are blown to bits as Vader's force misses them. Marak’s ship has got them both and they all fly away.

(Setting: Between the ice covered stone structures)

Vader looks up at them for a while and lifts his black cape as he turns, which covers the camera.

Fade out.

Captain Janeway:
That's not possible! Admiral Kirk died on Viridian 3. I visited his grave with my grandfather when I was 5.

Kirk:
You're right! He did! You might say I'm an echo left behind after his visit in the Nexus. Unlike my esteemed colleagues I cannot leave the aura surrounding it.
Let me present you to… (turnes): Jonathan Archer…

Jonathan Archer:
Captain! Don't let our appearances confuse you! In the Nexus time is relative.

Kirk:
...and Admiral Jean-Luc Picard!

Jean-Luke Picard:
Please to meet you, Captain! Would you be so kind as to gather your team in the…you still got a briefing room I take it?

Elisabeth Janeway:
(As if wakening up from a doze) Eh…yes! We do!

Kirk:
15 minutes?

Elisabeth Janeway:
Yes, Sir….Admiral!

Kirk:
(smiles) I've been dead for…what? 5…600 years? James will do nicely!

He walks past her and joins Picard now waiting for him by the door, Archer on his way out shaking his head.

Jean-Luke Picard:
We've been her five minutes and already you're flirting!

Kirk:
You' always were a party pooper, Jean-Luc!

Elisabeth Janeway watches them until the doors close and then looks down into the floor. Thoughtful!

Sedak:
You look disappointed!

Elisabeth Janeway:
(Still in her own world) No….(waking up) No! For a moment there I hoped I would get to...

Sedak:
I understand! I will gather the team!

Elisabeth Janeway:
Please!

She heads for the door.

Sedak:
Oh yes!

Elisabeth stops and turns!

Camilia:
Ma’am!

Sedak stops and look at her and Camilia sighs.

Sedak:
What happened?

Camilia looks up and pauses shortly before speaking!

Camilia:
We lost Tomak!

Sedak closes her eyes but gives no feelings away.

Camilia:
(Slowly) Vader was there. His powers were far beyond anything I’ve…..(sighs again). He never stood a chance. But there’s more! When we left the planet the Whitehead did a standard security scan on the inside and outside of the vessel. It seems we had a stowaway.

She pushed a few buttons not seen by the view screen and an ID card is displayed on the screen. Its Elisabeth Janeway's little brother Robert Janeway.

Sedak:
(mumbling) But off course! She cannot learn of this until we find a way to get him out of there. Do you understand?

Sequence 1/ Scene 4

Actors:
Elisabeth Janeway: Irene Brustad
Lt. Davies: Adam Browne
R2D2: Undecided
Bay Com System: Alexander Angeltveit

(Setting: Cargo Bay)

Quick fade from black!

The Turbo Lift doors opens and Janeway walks into the Cargo Bay. Lt. Davies is working on a small fighter resembling a futuristic Spitfire and with the name Lundgren on the side.

Janeway:
Is she ready to go?

Lt. Davies:
Yes, Ma'am!

Janeway:
Good!

She climbs the ladder into the tight cockpit.

Lt. Davies:
She's a fine ship, Ma'am! What's her story!

Janeway:
She's my first one. Designed it myself together with my grandfather.

A number of "beeps" are heard behind her and Janeway suddenly release that R2-D2 is placed in a new custom made hatch behind the cockpit.

Janeway:
What did you do, Lt?

Lt. Davies:
I followed the president's orders captain!

Janeway:
It's gone through her completely out of balance.

Lt. Davies:
No, Ma'am! I compensated with an AG-Zero and an AD-comp.

Janeway looks at him somewhat sceptical.

"Beeping" from R2-D2.

Janeway:
Did you compensate for the over sized alarm clock beeping in my ear through this entire flight as well?

Lt. Davies:
Well…yes! I did! I installed a com system translating his…communication into speech.

He leans into the cockpit and push a button.

Janeway:
(mumbling) Well aren't you the clever one?

R2-D2:
(With a young boy's voice) Will you try not to loop? I tend to fall out!

Janeway:
We're not going sightseeing, R2!

Lt Davies:
So where ARE you going, Ma'am?

Janeway:
I've got some unfinished business to attend to, Lt.

Lt. Davies looks at her for a moment.

Lt. Davies:
Would I be out of order if I asked you to make a stop on your way, Ma'am?

Janeway:
Yes you would, Lt! You're not one of mine, are you?

Lt. Davies:
No, Ma'am! I'm not!

Janeway:
R2

R2 opens a hatch and a small metal pipe appears, shooting a laser light beam toward Davies. Seen from over Davies' shoulder a huge flicker of light from a thick light beam is seen twirling once in front of him and the sound of high voltage is heard. The camera follows Davies' arm and stops at his hand holding a lightsaber - just as he turns it off. Seen from Janeway's view Davies is putting it back into his uniform jacket.

Lt. Davies:
But I assure you I'm friendly.

R2-D2:
He's a Jedi, Ma'am!

Janeway:
No kidding!

Lt. Davies:
I apologise for deceiving you, Ma'am. That was never my attention.

Bay Com system:
You are cleared for departure, Captain!

Lt. Davies:
The coordinates are programmed into the system, Ma'am! Have a safe trip!

The cockpit closes, and the ship rice from the floor and out the force field around the Bay door.

(Setting: Outside the Station)

From the cockpit we see Janeway in close up and the station getting smaller behind her.

R2-D2:
Are we there yet?

Janeway rolls her eyes and take the ship in a roll outside the camera frame, and R2s scream is heard as the scene fades to black.

Riley: Christian Kinell
Lauren: Irene Mathisen

(Setting: Corridor outside the TimePort)

Komiri and Riley is hiding behind a corner as Welsh is walking an upset Lauren along the corridor, past the two.

Lauren:
But half an hour?

Welsh:
I'm sure you know it all by heart!

Lauren:
I do but...well...I guess I could talk about cmb radiation within the….

Welsh:
Sounds absolutely smashing! Now let's get cracking!

Komiri and Riley step out of the shadows and stop outside the TimePort door. Riley opens his tricorder,
pushes a few symbols on the screen and points it toward the door. The door shirps once but do not open.
He looks at the screen and his shoulders fall.

Riley:
The port is protected with a time delay.

Kimiri:
A what?

Riley:
It's virtually frozen in time which means there's nothing I can do to effect the door at all.

Sedak is suddenly standing behind them.

Sedak:
Security override Sedak Gamma 476 Delta.

(Setting: From inside the TimePort)

The door opens.

Kimiri:
Would this by any chance be illegal according to Starfleet regulations?

Sedak:
It would!

Komiri:
Good.

They all walk into the room.

Kimiri:
So what are we doing here?

Sedak:
Starfleet's integrity have proven to be a tremendous strength. Unfortunately they also have a great weakness…

Looks at the two.

Sedak:
…their integrity.

Riley and Komiri glance at each other.

Sedak:
In our enemy's eyes ethics are not even a factor. There are no limits to what they are willing to do to reach
their goal. Starfleet will not even know what hit them. However!

Pushed a few buttons on a panel and a number of photos and drawings are displayed on a screen.

Sedak:
Through old Earth's history this was not always a problem.
Your warlords are known for deeds far beyond even our enemy's imagination.

Kimiri and Rilay flinch in shock as photos not visible for the camera flashed before them.

Riley:
I'm glad they're not around anymore!

Sedak:
I need you to bring them back and into the 29th Century.

Riley looks like he's about to have a heart attack!

Riley:
Say what?

As there is too little time passing between scene 1 and 2 of the last act this script post will be added as an extra scene between them, and the others will get a new scene number. Here goes:

Act 3
Sequence 1/ Scene 2

Actors:
Taren: Anton Sundèn
Lana: Undecided
Computer Voice: Denise Crosby

(Setting: Taren's quarters - bedroom)

The Quarters are dark and we're in Taren's bedroom where he's still sleeping.
There's a chirping sound and the computer voice goes:

Computer Voice:
The time is O 500

Taren is moaning and roll over in his bed. We can still only see his silhouette in the dark.

(Setting: Taren's quarters - Living room)

We hear him get out of bed and soon he's walking out into the living room, still not very visible,
and into the bathroom. Where he turn on the lights and the water in the sink. We can still not see
him, but only his shadow on the bathroom wall as he bends down over the sink.

The camera changes its focus as a hand puts down a glass of fluid on a table just in front of
the camera. Someone is sitting in the dark watching him.

(Setting: Taren's quarters - bathroom)

Camera is pointed at the bathroom mirror and only the shirt on his back and some of his hair is
visible when he suddenly straightens up in front of it and we see for the very first time that his
skin color is green. He looks down at something in his hands and then up again at his reflections.
His right hand start applying skin colored make-up in his face.

Lana:
Are you ever gone tell them?

Taren:
SHIT

Something falls to the floor and breaks in the bathroom.

Lana:
You can't stay in the closet forever.

Taren:
Lana?

Taren's head peeks out from the open bathroom door.

Lana:
In the flesh!

Taren:
You scared the living crap out of me!

Lana takes another sip of her drink!

Taren:
What are you doing here?

Lana:
I'm happy to see you too, G'Ar.

Taren:
You know what I mean! How did you get aboard the station?

Lana:
Docking station C - night shift - are all men this week.

Taren:
You're lucky Collins is out sick this week. He's not a ladies' man.

Lana:
Hmm…I didn't consider that.

Taren:
No that's your problem. You never consider the consequences of your actions.

Lana:
At least I take action! Which brings me to why I'm here?

She stands up from her chair.

Lana:
The Orions are informed of the situation but undecided. It's not like we have much
of a future in the United Federation of Planets.

Taren:
On the other side you know what you got. The Federation would never invade Orian.

Lana:
There are many ways to invade a people, G'Ar.

Taren:
It's Garen!

Lana:
Right…..That would be one of them.

Taren lowers his head.

Taren:
So what do you want me to do about it?

Lana:
Just watch your back - that's all!

They both look at each other and she walks out through the door.

Fade to black

Act 3
Sequence 2/ Scene 1

Cast:
Computer Voice: Denise Crosby
Janeway: Irene Brustad
Jedi Council: Undecided

(Setting: Snowy mountain landscapes of Norway)

Camera moves very fast over the snowy landscapes of Norway. A side view of Janeway inside the futuristic spitfire, and then the ship dipping down to just above the snow, making it fly to each side.

(Setting: Inside the spitfire cockpit)

Computer voice:
Closing in on destination

Janeway:
Collaborate!

Computer voice:
Destination known by coordinates only!

(Setting: Snowy mountain landscapes of Norway)

The ship climbs over a mountain top and on the other side a huge structure is visible. Five tall towers integrated in the rocks and ice.

The ship lands on a clearing just by the structure, and the camera keeps turning around the towers until cut to Janeway outside the ship, looking up at the towers.

(Setting: Outside the towers)

Janeway:
There's no entrance!

She then vanishes in a glimmer of light and suddenly appears…

(Setting: Inside the Jedi Tower. Jedi high Council room)

… in the tallest part of the middle tower. It's a round room with twelve big chairs in a circle. Each of them with an alien species she's familiar with from earlier; Vulcan, Aenar, Ocampa, Human, Betazoid, Denobulan, Xyrilian, Bajoranan, Trill, Bolian, an empty chair - smaller than the others, - and a Talosian approaching her.

Janeway:
Talosian? I thought you were…

Talosian:
Instinct! Not quite! Just…discreet! Welcome Elisabeth! I suppose this must be rather confusing for you but I ensure you it will all be clear to you soon.
This, my dear, is the Jedi High Council of our universe, and our task is to keep an eye…(looks at the Bolian, who has lost an eye)…no offence my dear friend…on the force.

Janeway:
Tell me about the force. Is it…

Talosian:
Magical? (Laughs) It is not. It is a natural force, created by you and me and every living being around us. It is an energy that connects us all. It feeds off our emotions, our love, our empathy, our happiness….but also our most destructive emotions. Our hatred, our anger, our jealousy, our fears.

A few days ago we felt a shift in the force. A power beyond any of us.
Darth Vader is not of our time.

(The Talosian waves a hand and a holographic image of a huge sphere is displayed in the middle of the room. Around it it has two rings of smaller spheres).

The Death Star is half Borg and has an impressive arsenal of weapons at its poles. The equator is protected by two rings of Borg spheres.

Janeway:
How do I get in?

The door opens with a bang and everyone looks at the creature standing in the lights from the corridor outside (but we do not see who it is as we see the scene from the creature's point of view)

Talosian:
With the help of this one!

Fades out in a flash of light

Act 3
Sequence 2/ Scene 2

Actors:
President Sedak: Barbara Adams
Manning: Richard Arnold
Betazed: Henrik Fexeus
Ferman Komiri: Kenneth Lund
Riley: Christian Kinell

(Setting: President Sedak's private)

President Sedak is seen through the window of her private quarters as she sits down by her desk.

Then by the other side of her desk as she gives a command to the computer.

Sedak:
Computer! Open a secure channel to the TimePort.

The computer chirps and a holographic screen is displayed before her, showing the faces of Komiri and, Riley.

Riley:
I bypassed the security protocols like you said. It wasn't easy I tell you. I had to…

Sedak:
My time on the station may be shorter than anticipated. Let us not waste it.

Riley:
Yes Ma'am!

Sedak:
It is important you understand that I cannot order you to do this. But if you do not, we will not prevail.

Komiri:
We understand!

Sedak:
Very well!

She punches in a few numbers on the desk panel.

Sedak:
I am sending you a detailed description of our enemy, given to us by our two android friends. As you can see Mr. Darth Vader and the Borg Queen has been preparing their arrival for quite some time, building a base at the far end of our solar system, and securing the arriving Death Star.

Riley:
What was that again, Ma'am? Did you say…DEATH star????

Sedak:
Yes, Riley! I did!

Riley and Komiri look at each other.

Sedak:
That was the vessel that set of the Starfleet HotSpots. Fortunately our android friends arrived several weeks ago, as stowaways on one of the scouting vessels.

She punches in a command and a schematic of the vessel is seen on the screen - now seen from inside the TimePort.

(Setting: TimePort)

Sedak:
As you can see the vessel's engine is quite different from our own.

The vessel's engine is shown in great detail.

Riley:
Amazing! But I can see at least two problems with the…

Sedak
You are correct Riley! Their technology is not compatible with the density of our universe. However - the Borg should be able to compensate for this with great ease.

Riley:
I think they most likely have, Ma'am! But if the density of their universe is much lower than our own they would have nothing to fuel their engines. And they couldn't have arrived at a worse spot. The only thing they'll find in that area is Delitium, and in such small amounts it will take a lot of time to extract it.

Sedak:
I agree!

Komiri:
May I ask, Ma'am, exactly who you need us to bring back in time?

Sedak:
This document will provide you with all the information you...

She suddenly dissolves and disappears and Komiri and Riley look at each other again!

Sedak & Komiri
Uh Uh

(Setting: The Brig)

Sedak reappears, sitting at a bunk bed in the brig with her hands in front of her about to push the non-existing button on her computer. The dark room has one bunk bed on her side, and another in the inner corner on the other side - almost entirely covered in shadow. The entrance is protected by a force field and it's humming noise is heard. Outside Admiral Manning is standing.

Manning:
You though I wouldn't find out?

Sedak:
Not at all Admiral! I knew you would. Just not…this fast. May I ask how you found out?

Manning:
I have an operative within your personal staff.

Sedak:
I see! So what you know is that I work for the VSS!

Manning looks somewhat insecure.

Manning:
There's more?

Sedak:
I guess we will never know!

Manning:
I wouldn't bet on that Sedak.

Nods to someone outside the entrance and his Betazed advisor walks up to him, looking very nervous.

Manning:
Read her!

Betazed:
Yes, Sir!

The advisor turns toward Sedak and the Vulcan look back at him.

Manning:
Well!

Betazed:
She's clearing her mind, Sir. I've got nothing but a recipe on Vulcan Kreila.

Manning:
But for goodness sake, man. What kind of Betazed are you.

Betazed:
You keep bringing me these impossible cases…

Manning:
Then read her body language.

Betazed:
She doesn't have one, Sir. She's a Vulcan!

Manning bows his head and turns toward Sedak.

Sedak:
Have a nice day, Admiral!

Manning and his advisor leaves the room without a word and the camera focus on Sedaks face. She gives no feelings away but looks down into the floor, deep in thoughts

Voice from behind:
That went well!

Sedak turns and the scene is cut to another setting and another scene.
